EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description An innovative cardiologist reveals the twelve main causes of heart attack and stroke, and presents his breakthrough plan to restore heart health. In this groundbreaking book, nuclear cardiologist and research scientist Dr. Richard M. Fleming exposes the devastating impact of arterial inflammation on the heart and what can be done to douse the fire within. Arterial inflammation triggers a dangerous chain reaction, wreaking havoc throughout the body. Dr. Fleming's action plan explains which tests your doctor should be performing to assess heart disease risk and tells why an angiogram is not always an accurate indicator of heart health. He also reveals a complete picture of the twelve causes of inflammation and how to defeat them. Dr. Fleming's unique two-step program restores balance within the body through simple diet and lifestyle changes that can begin to yield measurable results in as little as two weeks. The plan not only prevents further damage to the heart but can also restore blood flow and reverse heart disease's progress-all without surgery or prescription drug dependence. The book includes detailed menus and more than fifty easy-to-prepare recipes for every meal of the day. |
CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 4.5 based on 25 reviews)
| a great book to combat heart disease by Peggy Miller (Akron, NY USA) 5 Stars September 01, 2009 This book was a blessing. I have asthma and heart disease, diabetes and cancer run in my family. Prior to reading this book I had assumed that heart surgery was just an eventuality. Now after being on PhaseI I have hope for a brighter future. My cholesteral dropped, the arteries are unblocking - I have lost weight but for me that was just a bonus. I won't have to have heart surgery and I'm no longer a walking timebomb for stroke or heart attack. A relief you cannot measure in words.
One reviewer remarked that carrots couldn't be a comfort food. I beg to differ. When your life is on the line - that warm bowl of mashed carrots mixed with cut up fruit and spices is like a warm comforting blanket!
If you need to do something about heart disease and you are afraid of surgery. Take this book to your cardiologist and start discussing it. It can change the direction of your life. It has changed mine.
| | Life saving! by Steven F. Clark 5 Stars February 11, 2009 My family doctor wrote this book on his perscription pad as a way to lower my chloresteral and high triglicerides. This book has saved my life!I would recommend this book to anyone who would like to live longer and healthier!
| | This is a "Life Saver!" by John B. Anderson 5 Stars November 11, 2008 My doctor recommended this to save my life. ...so far, so good. This gives great insight as to what goes on in the great inside, and it tells how to adjust your insides to work so much more efficiently. I'm a believer!
| | Wake up call by D. Chase (Second Life) 5 Stars October 05, 2008 Wonderful advice, this book can save your life. The true cause of heart disease are trans fats, meat, dairy and processed foods. Stay out of the hospital, lose weight, feel great using this advice. Get this book for someone you love, even yourself. It got my friend off diabetes medicine in two weeks and my doctor lost 40 lbs on The Anti-Inflammation Diet.
| | Everyone should read this book by P. Pullara (Valparaiso, IN USA) 5 Stars September 30, 2008 I have read, or tried to read, a number of books on diabetes, heart disease and realistic diets. I have actually learned a great deal from this book. It is written in such basic language that I actually understand what is going on in my body. Now I am able to take positive action and take steps to get healthier. I have recommended this book to everyone I know. The explanation of how your body processes food will dramatically impact how you look at diet and exercise forever, because for the first time, perhaps, you will really be able to understand it.
The body is complicated, but now I can see and understand the big picture. Thank you Dr. Fleming for talking to me in terms I can understand, and telling me more than any doctor has in the past by supplying the missing puzzle pieces.
