| Great book by E. Morales (San Diego, CA) 5 Stars November 23, 2009 My 9 y.o. really likes this book. Even though she hasnt gone through this, it gives her a heads up on how to chose friends that like you for you, wont make you feel inadequate etc. Really good read for girls.
| | Big Hit by N. Faupel (MN) 5 Stars April 02, 2009 I bought this book for my 10 yr old grandaughter. This year she has encountered some 10 yr old "mean girl" behaviors at school. When she received this book she retreated to her room and read it cover to cover. She was able to identify and focus in on the whys and the how to's, of "tween girls" and realizing how hard it can be being friends. Great Book!
| | Last minute gift... by Michael Mcghan 5 Stars January 28, 2009 It was last minute gift from my niece, and you happened to have it when not one book store around did,,,thank you...
| | I've Seen The Drama! by Jill Vanderwood (Utah) 5 Stars October 15, 2008 What A Great Idea for a preteen book.
I am a mother of three girls, and grandmother of four girls. I have seen the drama.
Here is a self-help book for pre-teen girls. A Smart Girls Guide to Friendship Troubles gives advice to girls. There are examples of problems which a girl could be faced with, along with snippets of advice from other girls, and at the end, it tells which solution the girl chose, and how the problem worked out.
There are quizzes on: A True Friend Test; Do You Speak Up? ; The Secret Test; Are You in A Toxic Friendship and How Much Are You Being Swayed by the Crowd?
This book often suggests for the girl to talk to her parents, and makes suggestions on how to talk about a problem.
My granddaughters are always making friends and finding out the friendship isn't a good match. This book will make friendship problems much easier for the girls to solve.
I intend to purchase several copies as Christmas gifts, this year.

| | Ohhhh! The high drama of middle school power plays! by J. Arena (Williamsburg, VA) 5 Stars February 10, 2008 Your seventh grader might be bestest pals with a classmate on Monday, absolutely hate her on Wednesday and be back to undying friendship in time for the week-end! In between, there are snarky girls who spread lies, exclude her from conversations, and leave nasty notes on her desk. And, that's just one week!
In the high-action world of kid politics, your child needs an advantage, and American Girl has provided it with A Smart Girls Guide to Frendship Troubles. Kids, tweens and younger teens will adore this wonderful book!
Highly recommended!
