My 9 y.o. really likes this book. Even though she hasnt gone through this, it gives her a heads up on how to chose friends that like you for you, wont make you feel inadequate etc. Really good read for girls.

I bought this book for my 10 yr old grandaughter. This year she has encountered some 10 yr old "mean girl" behaviors at school. When she received this book she retreated to her room and read it cover to cover. She was able to identify and focus in on the whys and the how to's, of "tween girls" and realizing how hard it can be being friends. Great Book!

What A Great Idea for a preteen book.
I am a mother of three girls, and grandmother of four girls. I have seen the drama.
Here is a self-help book for pre-teen girls. A Smart Girls Guide to Friendship Troubles gives advice to girls. There are examples of problems which a girl could be faced with, along with snippets of advice from other girls, and at the end, it tells which solution the girl chose, and how the problem worked out.
There are quizzes on: A True Friend Test; Do You Speak Up? ; The Secret Test; Are You in A Toxic Friendship and How Much Are You Being Swayed by the Crowd?
This book often suggests for the girl to talk to her parents, and makes suggestions on how to talk about a problem.
My granddaughters are always making friends and finding out the friendship isn't a good match. This book will make friendship problems much easier for the girls to solve.
I intend to purchase several copies as Christmas gifts, this year.
