| here's big time help by A. Feinstein (Colorado) 5 Stars November 18, 2009 If you've ever been told that you must live with sinusitus for the rest of your life, FORGET ABOUT IT!
This book will give you clear instructions on how to put the pain behind you for good.
| | What your doctor won't tell you! by kaosnorder (Salt Lake City, UT) 5 Stars September 25, 2009 If you are interested in real, effective solutions to sinus problems, buy this book! Very clear information, no pressure to "do it my way", great research and resources. Top notch!
I purchased this book based on a recommendation from a friend. I have learned more about my sinuses from this book than I ever wanted to know! It is a highly complex system and one that has been outright ignored by 'modern medicine' hence the amount of sinus "sufferers". Don't wait any longer, physician heal thyself (with the help of this book) :-)
| | Sinus headaches 100% removed by Jefferson Idealist (Virginia, USA) 5 Stars August 12, 2009 This book can lead to a new life, as others have stated. If you are ready to do whatever it takes to feel better, Dr. Ivker's suggestions will help. I bought the book several years ago to help reinforce the lifestyle changes that I must use to be free of ear/nose/throat problems from food sensitivities. I was originally treated in 1976 by a holistic doctor. My agonizing sinus heachaches were gone in one week after I eliminated my three trigger foods. Dr. Ivker's book is excellent, and is quite comprehensive. It includes discussions of emotions and lifestyle, going beyond the original help I received for my sinus problem. It is inspiring to read about Dr. Ivker's transformation from illness to health, and the whole person approach he used to get well.
I also use Sinus Survival to help other family members with ear/nose/throat problems related to food sensitivity. We have Dr. Ivker's excellent "Asthma Survival" book as well.
I now know how to keep sinus and ear infections away--for me it's through diet-- and how to reduce the recovery time from an ear infection if I have been lax about eating dairy, wheat and eggs. I get ear symptoms now before any sinus headaches start. As a result of dietary and lifestyle changes, I haven't had a sinus headache since 1976. The vertigo I experience from occasional ear infections is no fun, so I am motivated to do what it takes to feel better. That means avoiding wheat/milk/eggs, a small price to pay for being free of constant nausea. I owe my ability to live fully to holistic health measures so well outlined in Sinus Survival.
| | Start here by humbert D'Orazio 5 Stars July 04, 2009 If you have sinus problems start with this book ... I want the route of 36 days on antibiotics and steroid sprays which led to nose bleeds and a ENT doctor and a possible surgery. My Insurance plan allows me to go to specialist without referrals . I check with people who have had surgery more then once and still had serious problems, so I got this book and am now using a NETI POT and salt wash as well as diets. The book covers body mind soul and spirit. A good place to start......
| | Glad I found it by RetroGurl (CA) 5 Stars May 21, 2009 I have suffered wayyy too long with sinusitis. Basically my whole life. It got worse when I moved up north and was living in a very tree/grass populated area. I was free from pollution, which killed me, but was now subjected to damp & clean air filled with pollen! And add 2 dogs that shed and I was fighting a losing battle. I was so tired of feeling tired, all the time. Of waking up feeling like a train hit me and walking around like a zombie. I have been on numerous bouts of antibiotics, which worked for a short term and then my sinusitis came back. I can't think back of a day where I actually woke up with clear nasal passages, no headache and energized. I started a regime of drinking tons of water, taking acidophilus tablets, eating healthy and nasal irrigation. It has been a great relief but I am still suffering on occasion. Anyways, I was turned on to this book and I just ordered it. From all the great reviews from sinusitis sufferers like myself, I am anxiously waiting for my book! I hope I can feel 100% after following what the book says!
