Dangerous - encouraging women to get themselves in financial trouble by Mike Jones (Boston, MA) 1 Stars
April 08, 2009
This book is giving out ideas that put women in financial jeopardy and have to rely on family and friends and the government to support them and bail them out. If a woman reads this book and decides to have a child they should sue the authors for a piece of the royalties to bail them out.

The Complete Single Mother by Lani Eberhardt (San Francisco, Ca.) 5 Stars
April 11, 2007
Down to earth, practical, warm hearted, realistic, and extremely helpful on every topic imaginable to help you, the single mother! Reading it is like having a best girl friend who totally understands, cares, has been there, and has wonderful advice. It is also very humorous in parts, for example the chapter on types of exes is good for a belly laugh or two. I truly appreciate this book. Just in time for me and my life right now.

I Need Reassurance: Answers Are Nice Too by Barbara Sheldon, M.S.W. (Solana Beach, CA) 4 Stars
March 26, 2007
This is a very helpful book in spite of the over-promising title. Can anyone be a "complete single mother"? I fall way short of that, every day. I'm trying to be a "mostly sane" single mom --- and I fall short of that, too. There's a lot of good help in this book, and it is fairly comprehensive, so maybe it was the advertising people who picked the title. I do recommend this book to other single moms, there is positive, constructive help here. Barbara Sheldon, M.S.W. I also highly recommend: Raising Great Kids on Your Own: A Guide and Companion for Every Single Parent

Good reference guide for single moms of any kind by J. Gouge (Phoenix, Az) 4 Stars

This book really has a wide audience range. Whether you're a single mom by circumstance, divorce or choice, this book has a chapter for it. Very informative.. I would recommend it to a newly single mom for comfort and for substance.

Covering everything from custody and child support to finances and accessing resources, this is one book you'll find yourself constantly refering to.
