Product Description
Liberalism Is a Mental Disorder- Michael Savage has the cure.   With grit, guts, and gusto, talk radio sensation Michael Savage leaves no political turn unstoned as he savages today's most rabid liberalism. In this paperback edition of his third New York Times bestseller, Savage strikes at the root of today's most pressing issues, including:   Homeland security: "We need more Patton and less patent leather . . . Real homeland security begins when we arrest, interrogate, jail, or deport known operatives within our own borders . . . One dirty bomb can ruin your whole day."   Illegal immigration: "I envision an Oil for Illegals program . . . The president should demand one barrel of oil from Mexico for every illegal that sneaks into our country."   Lawsuit abuse: "Lawyers are like red wine. Everything in moderation. Today we have far too many lawyers, and we're suffering from cirrhosis of the economy."   "Pure Savage. Very effective, very timely, very hot." -American Compass Book Club

Very similar to radio broadcasts by Avid Reader of Both Sides... (Cali) 3 Stars

This book is a little bizarre. It is very interesting but you'll have to read it with a salt shaker handy (ie: needs to be taken with more than just ONE grain of salt..). But, just like his radio broadcasts, if you can filter through some of the stranger assertions you'll find some very interesting insights. And as one of the other reviewers stated, the research and cites are first rate. If you listen to his radio show regularly, you'll love the book. If you listen occasionally, there will still be some assertions that you'll find insightful or even enlightening. If you've never listened to Savage radio, you're in for an eye opener!

You always knew liberals had issues -- now it's documented. by Entropy (Washington D.C.) 5 Stars

Liberalism is a Mental Disorder is for those who have always felt "Something" is wrong with liberals, didn't have the time to figure out exactly what it was, and have the burning desire to finally put their finger on it. It's an accurate description of why Liberals think and do the things they do. How I found this book: I had always thought that most Liberals had some degree of psychological disturbance. This was an honest observation, and not an attempt to disparage them -- though there's now way to say this and have a liberal not feel disparaged. Nobody want's to be told they have a psychological issues. Years ago, when Bush was running for his 2nd term, I began to scan AM radio for the first time in my life. As auto-scan ran through the stations and I suddenly heard "Liberalism is a Mental Disorder". Nearly spilling my drink, I reached for the radio to keep it from scanning further. That's how I found Savage, and that's how I found this book. Love Savage or hate Savage -- love me or hate me for my post [insert your own finish here]

Should be required reading!! by Mark A. O'Neill 5 Stars

If you are a conservative, person of faith or just have common sense, prepare to be portrayed as "fringe" by the media, elites and liberals. This book tells it like it is, and so does Michael Savage. The only "haters" are those who hate Savage and what he stands for. If this country weren't so inside out and morally bankrupt, Savage would be considered an American Treasure, by all. To many of us, he is just that. Go, Michael, go!!

Liberals are not as like-minded as Savage pretends they are. by John G. (Fort Worth) 1 Stars
August 31, 2009
My problem with this book is that not all liberals agree on everything, just like how not all conservatives agree on everything. But Savage pretends that all liberals have the exact same views so that he can make his arguments in this book, and that is intellectually dishonest. I'm a liberal, and I agree with Savage about the need to protect the American borders and crack down on immigration law violations. I also believe in the death penalty and think it should be kept and used for violent criminals. But according to Savage I am some kind of mythical beast like a Unicorn or a Cyclops because he gives no indication that any liberal could ever think either of those things.
