EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description Based entirely on research from peer-reviewed journals and randomized controlled trials, Treat Your Own Rotator Cuff is a complete program to prevent and rehabilitate rotator cuff injuries for athletes and non-athletes alike. In less than 100 pages, readers will learn precisely how the rotator cuff works, what can go wrong with it, and then are guided step-by-step through an evidence-based program that takes just minutes a week to complete. Drawing from the latest rotator cuff research, Treat Your Own Rotator Cuff will be especially useful for those who have been diagnosed with either a partial or full-thickness rotator cuff tear, experience shoulder pain, do upper body weight lifting, play a sport or have a job that involves repeated arm motions above shoulder level, have been diagnosed with "impingement syndrome," or for anyone simply wanting a healthy and properly functioning rotator cuff. |

| Torn Rotator Cuff by Joi Mairet (Duncanville, TX.) 4 Stars June 30, 2009 I have a torn rotator cuff in two places. I am hoping that this book will give me enough answers as well as exercises to help. I may eventually have surgery, but it's not an option yet. So far the book has good information.
| | Great book by Essie (Seattle, WA) 5 Stars June 30, 2009 Great book. Very easy to understand the rotator cuff after reading this. I'm still working on the exercises. Very informative and well done.
| | Excellent book, very efficient program by D. Peters 5 Stars May 22, 2009 I went thru physical therapy to treat my rotator cuffs - I have had issues with both. It worked, but only after several weeks and I had worked up to 1-1.5 hours of shoulder exercises, 3 times per week! After therapy, the recommended home program was virtually the same. I didn't have the time to keep up and the problem came back in one of my shoulders. Ever since I have been trying to figure out which exercises really matter, because I don't have time to do them all.
In this book it was done for me. The author focuses on a few simple stretches and exercises, but his research shows they are the ones that matter most. I've been doing the program for about 4 weeks now and my shoulder is much, much better. Not 100% yet, but I can finally throw a ball again. I have a young son and haven't even been able to play catch with him until now. And very importantly, this program takes so little time I can keep up with it, to prevent problems from coming back.
| | Nice compilation of all available info on the net by Calvin Chin (Singapore) 5 Stars May 17, 2009 Good content. I have had a r cuff problem for a long time and have been researching this issue at large. Nothing much new I learnt from this book which I don't already know, but I love it that it summarizes and condenses all available info out there in an easy to read format for me. Get this if you have not done any research on your own.
| | Good introduction by Ashton Gate (Washington, D.C.) 4 Stars April 02, 2009 Good introduction to rotator cuff problems, with the right balance of technical information and practical help. The focus on academic literature was reassuring and provides ammunition when discussing these issues with a doctor. I have been following the program and it has worked so far. Does not get 5 stars as it is a little pricey.
