| Wolf Almanac by Dolores J. Adams 5 Stars November 17, 2009 This is the most comprehensive book on Wolves that I have read.
It gives a lot more details. This is not just a story book.
| | Beautiful Graphics by S. Wagner (Lakebay, WA USA) 5 Stars November 03, 2009 This book is really informative and beautiful. I could not have found a more detailed and beautifully photographed book on Wolves, and it is exactly what I was looking for. The hardcover book makes it a delight, a collector's item, and it would be a waste to use it merely as a coffee table book. It is simple to read, and nicely laid out, very professionally done. It gives such an intimate look into the lives of wolves, and is suitable for both amateurs and hardcore wolf-lovers.
| | Excellent content and pictures by Kathleen Jager (kat) 5 Stars August 09, 2008 This book is wonderful. I own both this revised copy and the previous one. Not much has changed between them. There is some updated information and brand new photos. This is an excellent book. I really enjoyed this book. It is chock-a-block full of useful information and some fun facts as well. Good as a referance book as well.

| Wolves: Behavior, Ecology, and Conservation by L. David Mech (Editor), Luigi Boitani (Editor)
Wolves are some of the world's most charismatic and controversial animals, capturing the imaginations of their friends and foes alike. Highly intelligent and adaptable, they hunt and play together in close-knit packs, sometimes roaming over hundreds of square miles in search of food. Once teetering on the brink of extinction across much of the United States and Europe, wolves have made a tremendous comeback in recent years, thanks to legal protection, changing human attitudes, and efforts to...

| The Wolf: The Ecology and Behavior of an Endangered Species by L. David Mech (Author)
Since the dawn of history, no other living thing (save, possibly, the snake) has been as reviled by humankind as the wolf. Still, wolves and people have been drawn to each other since the beginning. Canis lupus bounds through our folklore, howls in our dreams, and--occasionally--competes with us on the hunt. As one zoologist imagines it: "Through the cold of winter the wolf made music in the mysterious darkness and sometimes, in curiosity, sat just beyond the dwindling circle of...
