| Cardiac CT Imaging: Diagnosis of Cardiovascular Disease by Matthew J. Budoff (Editor), Jerold S. Shinbane (Editor)
CT is an accurate technique for assessing cardiac structure and function, but advances in computing power and scanning technology have resulted in increased popularity. It is useful in evaluating the myocardium, coronary arteries, pulmonary veins, thoracic aorta, pericardium, and cardiac masses; because of this and the speed at which scans can be performed, CT is even more attractive as a cost-effective and integral part of patient evaluation. This book collates all the current knowledge of...

EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description To date, few, if any, simplified, concise, relatively small and portable books exist to ease the training in the field of cardiac CTA. There are no books written from the point of view of secondary end users who are secondarily trained. Books to date are mainly extensive, large texts that assume a certain basic knowledge. A so called "manual" and reference guide explaining this technique from beginning to end in simple prose will thus be of tremendous value. |
CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 3.5 based on 4 reviews)
| Good manual by E. Lui 4 Stars January 30, 2009 This is a compact little book providing a succinct overview of coronary CT angiography with many practical tips from patient preparation to interpretation that I find very helpful as a radiologist. My commendations on covering so much in so little space--truly a practical manual!
| | Not Recommended by R. Patel (San Diego, CA) 1 Stars December 14, 2008 This book is very small and very expensive. It takes about 2 hours to read. It seems to be directed only at cardiologists who are extremely novice at coronary CTA. I would definitely not recommend it if you are a radiologist or a cardiologist who has seen a CTA before. The majority of the book is spent poorly discussing the background of how CT works, etc. The actual discussion on how best to interpret coronary CTA is very poor. There are a lot of references in the book to unpublished communications from apparently self-proclaimed experts on CTA. The back cover of the book claims it would be also useful as a reference tool, but I honestly do not know what you could possible gain from this.
| | Cardiac CT Angiograph Manual by S. Mamidi (Logan, WV, USA) 4 Stars May 03, 2008 If you have attended many meeting and listened to lots of speakers and can't remember every important point, here is a small book packed with the things you want to refer to. My little brain needs lots of reading and rereading to remember, but I dont have that much time. Books of this size help me a lot in my daily practice. This book is not for beginners.
I am glad I ordered this book without previewing.
| | Excelent book by Carlos De Mula (Uruguay) 5 Stars September 15, 2007 I'm a cardiologyst from Uruguay (South América).
The book is very clear, and perfect for those who are new in Cardiac CT.
