EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description This is a single-authored, authoritative, readable volume covering all aspects of thyroid cancer. The text is supplemented with many illustrations including pathology, thyroid and whole-body scans, ultrasounds and other nuclear medicine and radiological studies and highlights important questions that patients should ask their physicians, indicating the topics the physician should cover. The text is designed for physicians, including primary care doctors, endocrinologists, nuclear medicine physicians, general and head and neck surgeons, oncologists and radiation oncologists. It is expected that patients with thyroid cancer would find this a substantial resource. Other groups are residents, medical students, and nurse practitioners researching a patient-related problem. |
CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 5.0 based on 1 review)
| Best book on thyroid cancer by Paul R. Zimmer (Roseville, California, USA) 5 Stars August 11, 2007 I checked out half a dozen books from the medical library on thyroid cancer, and this is the only one I BOUGHT. Dr. McDougall's writing is clear and very readable (I'm an engineer, not a doctor, by the way). I particularly like his style of showing both sides in areas of controversy, complete with data for both sides as well as giving his own opinion and experiences. Pretty much every aspect of TC is covered, and the chapter on TC in children is particularly good.

| Cardiac CT Imaging: Diagnosis of Cardiovascular Disease by Matthew J. Budoff (Editor), Jerold S. Shinbane (Editor)
CT is an accurate technique for assessing cardiac structure and function, but advances in computing power and scanning technology have resulted in increased popularity. It is useful in evaluating the myocardium, coronary arteries, pulmonary veins, thoracic aorta, pericardium, and cardiac masses; because of this and the speed at which scans can be performed, CT is even more attractive as a cost-effective and integral part of patient evaluation. This book collates all the current knowledge of...
