Product Description
No wonder these two Pentax models are so popular--they're among the lowest in price and easiest to use. Yet they have most of the same features as their higher-priced competitors. Just take this manual with you--it's snug enough to fit in your camera bag, and comes with a sturdy sewn binding. Easy-access sections explain how to operate all the cameras' features--exposure modes, focus modes, metering, and more. Special tips on shooting, focusing, and exposure are even more valuable as you purchase lenses, flash attachments, and other accessories such as battery packs, exposure meters, tripods, lens adapters, and filters. Get the most out of your Pentax camera with advice on shooting techniques for different effects.

Treasure trove of information on Pentax ZX-series cameras. by Rudy (Columbia, SC USA) 5 Stars
June 27, 2004
As a new owner of a Pentax ZX-L, I ordered this book because that model camera differs but little from its ZX-7 predecessor; frankly, I expected the usual "How-To Guide" of a generic photographer's template, with a few camera-specific bits added verbatim from the manual. What a pleasant surprise! This book is an original, written by a ZX-7 owner who shares his extensive experience with newbies in a pleasant conversational non-technical - yet highly informative - manner. The illustrations are minor master pieces of photographic art that, even in black & white, convey the joy the owner feels for photography. Not only that, the pictures each make a unique point that clearly shows. The chapters on flash photography and on Pentax lenses alone are worth the price of admission. When combined with Lee Frost's [Teach Yourself] "Photography", you'll need little more to rise rapidly to the ranks of advanced amateurs. Highly recommended, even though the ZX-7 has been superceded by the Pentax ZX-L.
