Great info that's hard to find elsewhere by Lauren E. Colao (NJ) 5 Stars

This book is a must for someone who is having trouble learning about blood sugar response or for people looking to improve their levels. I was just diagnosed with Type1 and was pretty much totally confused on how certain things effected me. This book is great so far and amazon shipped it in ONE day!! I couldn't believe it. But anyway, I am glad I listened to the reviews for this book. I think it is especially important for newly diagnosed people to have. Don't let the boring looking cover fool you, it has got tons of useful info in it.

Everything you need to know, and more by Marte (Burbank CA) 5 Stars

I wasn't sure about buying this book because I thought perhaps the information in it might be slightly out of date (it's copyright 2003). But I could not find any newer books that had the comprehensive information about using insulin that I needed, as a newly insulin dependent Type 2 diabetic. So I ordered the book, and oh boy am I glad I did! Yes, there is some slightly out of date information about the types of insulin available, but it doesn't matter. The book is clearly written and lays out exactly how insulin is put to best use. Couple this with the ADA's Complete Guide to Carb Counting and you've got an education!
