Not a Helpful Study Guide by Mom of Two Girls (Reno, NV) 1 Stars
November 15, 2009
I ordered this study guide to help me with Anatomy & Physiology I which I am taking as Nursing pre-requisites. This "study guide" is just multiple choice questions and answers (and I didn't even think the questions were that challenging). Only every third answer or so is explained. I am better off reading my book and using the online quizzes that come on the textbook website.

black ink on red paper makes it difficult to read. material is incomplete and scattered about on random places. I have never used it for studying-waste of money!!

Lots of pertinent information by Peggy E. Marcus (Southern California) 4 Stars

I actually purchased 3 study guides by this same arthor... They are very informative, well organized and well written. The only negative thing I can say about them is that they are printed on red paper and my old eyes don't see the black on red as well as I would if the guides were printed on white paper. I would love to have one on the heart and circulatory system.

Great when used with dedicated study by RN Journey (Central CA) 5 Stars

As a pre-nursing student, the competition is fierce to get into a program. When I first received these study guides I thought I had paid way too much for what I got and thought the material simplistic. What I found is that 25% to 35% of my test questions were very close to the examples given. If you are a serious student, these guides are another tool in your total study regime. They are not intended to be your ONLY source of study and review. There are no easy ways to learn the Sciences, but these focus on some of the commonly tested areas. I wanted all the resources I could find and it paid off with A's.
