EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description FBI Special Agent Alex Montgomery would have given her life in the line of duty, but she lost something far more precious when she became the target of ruthless drug traffickers. Recalled to Jacksonville to aid the local authorities in infiltrating the same deadly drug ring, she has a secret agenda--revenge. Despite her unexpected involvement with Conner Harris, a tough, streetwise detective who has dedicated her life to her job at the cost of her own personal happiness, Alex vows to let nothing--and no one--stand in the way of exacting vengeance on those who took from her everything that mattered. In the all new, revised edition of Storm Surge, these two driven women discover that even in the midst of danger, murder, and betrayal, there is one force even more powerful than duty and retribution--the connection forged by the human heart. Follow Alex and Connor in this thrilling action tale as they seek justice and the promise of a future where love might one day be found. |

| A Must Read by MK Burgess (Adelaide, Australia) 5 Stars July 02, 2007 Anyone looking for a fast paced lesbian romance, must read this book.
I found it to be awesome, I was 'hooked' from the first page. KatLyn manages to explore the roots of roamance and attraction between women. She writes in a style that is easy to follow, and it is even easier to imagine yourself within the plot, observing the tender complications of lesbian love and the committment it takes to love the women we love.
Code Blue Code Blue is one of the finest reads there is.

| | To Trust or Not to Trust? by C. Mahoney (IN) 5 Stars October 17, 2006 This is the first book I have read from KatLyn and I have to say it was an amazing ride from start to finish! This book is full of twists and turns that a reader doesn't see coming. Storm Surge is a very easy, enjoyable, and exciting book. The characters are all wonderful in their own way. Storm Surge has very strong female characters...whether they are strong heroes or villainesses that is for you to find out. No whining here! This book has a little of everything in it: humor, strong friendships, love, lust, deceit, loss, hope and a lot of sex! This book will not disappoint. Katlyn delivers a great book! Reading this book was time well spent!
| | Too Much Surge, Too Little Storm by P. Bigelow (St. Louis, MO) 4 Stars July 27, 2006 There is much to be said for this book, and much to be said against this book.
This could have been an interesting and terrific thriller about the FBI and local cops trying to take down a mobster. However, somewhere along the line, KatLyn seemed to change her mind about the kind of book she wanted to write, and it turned into a romance with a side story of the need for revenge. As a romance, it's a good book. As a thriller it is not.
The editing was sloppy - too many sentence fragments throughout the book. Since the publisher's message was that this was a thriller, her editor should have made sure that that was the story being told. She didn't. The publisher (who happens to b the author) should have made sure that the copy on the covers agreed with the content of the book. She didn't.
If you can get beyond the above, this is actually a good read. KatLyn writes well, has done her research on the locale, and knows something about her subject matter. Perhaps her next book will be more focused.
| | smart, sexy, murder mystery by E. B. MULLIGAN (Tampa, Florida) 5 Stars November 15, 2005
An excellent combination of intrigue and romance. The Florida setting is wonderfully descriptive and you wish you were there to enjoy the setting yourself. An earlier review mentioned that there is too much sex but I am up to page 200 of the 300 page novel and have only read one love scene that was completely plot driven and utterly romantic.
| | Shady Lady Meets the Shadow... by K. Johnson (Twin Cities, MN) 4 Stars November 24, 2004 The back cover describes police officer Conner Harris as a tough cop, however there is nothing in the story that backs up the description. She is smart, sexy, and daring, but not necessarily tough.
FBI Agent Alex Montgomery is really a pussy cat in disguise, but she is on a mission to avenge her previous lover's murder.
These two come together under intense circumstances and hit it off immediately. The story focuses mostly on their romance and includes almost too many sex scenes. There is not a good balance between their relationship and the investigation. However, it is well written and kept my attention (I read it in one night). I didn't understand the need for the predictable plot twist at the end, but I would still recommend the book to anyone looking for a good first novel. I'm planning to read Code Blue this weekend and can't wait to start.
