| If you drink too much, get this book! You won't be sorry! by JLR (Halifax, MA United States) 5 Stars November 06, 2009 I have abused alchohol for most of my life. I am in my early 40's now and have been drinking since my early teens. I have tried numerous times to quit drinking, or to cut down on my consumption without any success. I felt like a failure and I knew excessive drinking was not good for my health or my family. I was searching in desperation one day through Amazon for book titles I thought would help me and I came across this book. It has changed my life. I am still drinking, but not uncontrollably. I have a normal glass of wine and don't have the need to polish off the whole bottle. This has not happened to me for many years. The success rate for this method is greater than 75%, if you have a problem with excessive alcohol consumption you owe it to yourself to get this book and try the medication.

"The Cure for Alcoholism: Drink Your Way Sober Without Willpower, Abstinence, or Discomfort" is a detailing of the Sinclair Method, a gradual method of quitting alcohol dependence by slowly lowering one's consumption in order to reprogram the brain's dependence on the drink. "The Cure for Alcoholism" is a worthwhile read for anyone who has tried everything else for their drinking problem.

| | Real help for drinkers who want to quit or cut down by Kenneth Anderson 5 Stars April 10, 2009 I am the executive director of The HAMS Harm Reduction Network, a free-of-charge program for people who want to change their drinking for the better. At HAMS we very strongly recommend Dr. Eskapa's book for anyone who wants to change their drinking for the better. Naltrexone is a miracle drug for people who want to quit or reduce their use of alcohol--but it only works if you take it according to the Sinclair Method. Dr. Eskapa does a wonderful job of explaining the Sinclair Method in this book. Buy it!
