EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description Here is the first fully interactive tool that simulates an actual EEG lab reading session. EEG on DVD: Adult - An Interactive Reading Session teaches EEG interpretation to neurology residents, clinical neurophysiology fellows, and neurologists, using 200 EEG cases, over 400 EEGs, and a self-testing section. A wide variety of adult EEGs are presented, covering diseases such as epilepsy, brain tumors, encephalopathies, stroke, degenerative disorders, comatose states, etc. Teaching points in the cases are emphasized, making this the perfect tool for clinical self-assessment and board preparation. |

| | Excellent by jmk (Dayton, OH) 5 Stars February 17, 2008 This DVD is excellent. It is very easy to use, and has top quality tracings. The format is that the user is presented with an EEG, then on a separate screen an explanation of the pertinent findings is given. I would strongly recommend this for neurophysiology or epilepsy fellow, or neurology resident with an interest in these subspecialties.
| | neuro resident by NEURO RESIDENT 5 Stars January 22, 2008 I have used the eeg primer,Hopkins atlas and this book ;and by far, this is the better of the 3.The CD was an excellent source to learn.what makes it so flexible is the various formats u can use:either indices,or case wise.plus its interactive too.highly recommend this one for starters like me.

| The Johns Hopkins Atlas of Digital EEG: An Interactive Training Guide by Gregory L. Krauss MD (Editor), Robert S. Fisher MD PhD (Editor)
An electroencephalogram (EEG) records and measures electrical activity in the brain and is used to help diagnose seizure disorders, screen for delirium and dementia, evaluate head injuries, and examine brain activity in comatose individuals. While the introduction of digital EEGs carries the promise of better accuracy, it requires that physicians and technologists be specially trained. This sophisticated and practical collection of teaching tools uses digital EEGs -- to be read as they...

| Quantitative EEG, Event-Related Potentials and Neurotherapy by Juri Kropotov (Author)
While the brain is ruled to a large extent by chemical neurotransmitters, it is also a bioelectric organ. The collective study of Quantitative ElecrtoEncephaloGraphs (QEEG ? the conversion of brainwaves to digital form to allow for comparison between neurologically normative and dysfunctional individuals), Event Related Potentials (ERPs - electrophysiological response to stimulus) and Neurotherapy (the process of actually retraining brain processes to) offers a window into brain physiology and...
