EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description This laboratory guide for successful electrophoretic separations is divided into two parts to provide readers with a thorough presentation of the fundamentals followed by a detailed description of the most common methods currently in use. This fourth edition retains the successful concept of its predecessors, yet features a brand-new layout, and is further enhanced by a section on difference gel electrophoresis, while the chapter on proteome analysis is practically all new and considerably extended, plus there are now around 10 ew literature references. |
CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 5.0 based on 1 review)
| Excellent hands-on book for Electrophoresis by Mark Chiu (USA) 5 Stars April 13, 2000 This second edition has a wonderful overview of the use of electrophoresis of proteins and nucleic acids. Thoughtful reviews of all of the components: theory, gel compositions, instrumentation, interpretations, and trouble shooting are truly ideal for the practioner. The book is well written and provides a wonderful bibliography. The text of the book is well written and well organized. The table of contents and the index can get a practioner up to speed with clear procedure quickly. The figures are extremely helpful. This should be an excellent lab resource
