EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description This second, comprehensive edition of the pioneering book in this field has been completely revised and extended by six chapters, now stretching to two volumes. The result is a comprehensive summary of layer-by-layer assembled, truly hybrid nanomaterials and thin films, covering organic, inorganic, colloidal, macromolecular and biological components, plus the assembly of nanoscale films derived from them on surfaces. For anyone working in the field as well as scientists and researchers active in materials development who need the key knowledge provided here for linking the fields of molecular self-assembly with materials- and biosciences. |

| Layer-by-layer assembly bible!!!! by K. Loh (Ann Arbor, MI USA) 5 Stars March 23, 2007 If your work is related to layer-by-layer self-assembly techniques (electrostatic thin film assembly), this is the bible that you need to become an expert. Written by the founders of the LbL technique, the material covered in this book is comprehensive and easy to understand. Since a lot of information is presented in this book, I recommend reading it cover-to-cover a few times to fully enjoy and absorb every detail. This book is a MUST! I wish I could give it six stars.
