Product Description
Intermolecular Multiple Quantum Coherence (iMQC) phenomenon is a new contrast mechanism for the high resolution NMR/MRI. iMQC signal directly correlates with the degree 3D magnetization profile created by the CRAZED pulse sequence is spatially averaged over the targeted distance scale. In this book, after the short introduction, numerical simulation of the iMQC experiment is given. That includes relaxation processes, instantaneous radio frequency pulses and gradients as well as original phase cycling, phantom positioning and rotation techniques. For the rat sciatic nerve iMQC signal is studied as a function of sample orientation as well as correlation gradients direction and strength and later compared to the data from uniform water sample. The fixed mouse fibrotic liver samples are then studied under different orientations of the CRAZED gradients. All results are verified by numerical simulations. The new experimental data and its analysis may be of interest for students and professional scientists working in MRI and MR spectroscopy of biological samples.
