This is the only book of its kind in the market, and it's very good. by Arthur A. REYES (Arlington, TX USA) 5 Stars

If you need to know the essential equations that constrain the design of UAV systems, this book lists them for you and tries to give you some intuition on what they mean. The derivation of the formulas is not given, but doing so would make the book considerably thicker (just check the references if you are concerned about the assumptions & derivations of each formula). This book is an excellent jumping-in book if you are already an engineer and have basic understanding acceleration, work, force, displacement, integral & differential calculus, aerodynamics, loads, electro-magnetics, etc. The only weakness I see in the book is that it does not follow a systems engineering procedure to synthesize a UAV design, showing when to apply each formula or math model.

an excellent work. 5 Stars

this is an excellent work on UAV systems, which i highly recommend for professionals and those merely interested in the topic.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles: Robotic Air Warfare 1917-2007 (New Vanguard)
by Steven Zaloga (Author), Ian Palmer (Illustrator)

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) are the most dynamic field of aerospace technology, and potentially the harbingers of new aviation technology and tactics. They have only emerged from the shadows in recent years, but in fact have been in use for decades. After some limited use in World War II, UAVs began to emerge as a substitute for manned reconnaissance aircraft in the 1950s for missions deemed too dangerous to risk an aircrew. Used in significant numbers in the Vietnam War as well as...

Mastering the Dynamics of Innovation

Mastering the Dynamics of Innovation
by James M. Utterback (Author)

The author presents a compelling look at how innovation transforms industries, raising the fortunes of some firms while destroying others. The book draws on the rich history of innovation by inventors and entrepreneurs--ranging from the birth of typewriters to the emergence of personal computers, gas lamps to fluorescent lighting, George Eastman's amateur photography to electronic imaging--to develop a practical model for how innovation enters an industry, how mainstream firms typically...
