This instructional video learns how to use your D50. It shows you what aperture, shutter speed etc. mean AND DO. You can see it on your screen and that's a BIG advantage over a book that is way too static to explain and show the settings. You will learn so much more from this video than from any book about the D50.

My nephew lives with me while attending college. He has a Nikon D50 camera. Iv wanted to borrow the camera, but did not know how to use it. We found this DVD/CD tutorial on the internet. After watching it I could operate the camera on my own. I learned many things. It taughtmy nephew a few things he did nootknow either. The feature options nowmake sence to me and I can easily zoom in and and focus. I can set the speed of zoom for landscape pics or portrait shoots. I can make a background image of say a statue larger or make a background image a bit blurred to keep my eye looking on the person in focus. Moving objects are no longer a challenge. It was a good investment for me. The End

I am glad I bought this DVD. I can read my instructin manual that came with my camera, but I cant always understand which button it refers to. With the DVD tutorial I can see every button and what effects each instruction "how to" should and should not look to my eye. For example; I would have not have known why such a low shutter speed us used to capture nighttime cars traveling on a busy road showing the motion blur of traveling motion of each vehicle. (have to see. As a forst time digital camera owner I would have hesitate to reformat my SD card. In seeing this procedure done visually I can now do this without worry of pressing wrong buttons. This DVD saved me time and money I would have had to pay for a class on operation or my new camera.I just needed visual instructions.
