| | The book is as good as the reviewers say it is! by Mom (Minnesota) 5 Stars June 05, 2009 To Adrianne Summerfield, who said "These positive and glowing reviews are all obviously made up profiles. That's not honest. It's obvious the same writer/writers wrote all these. The book was OK. There are better."
Do you have a lap band and have you actually read this book? We are not all the same person writing these reviews. What book would you recommend - you said there are better out there.

Now on to my review: I cannot say enough good things about this book! I even brought it to my bariatric clinic appointment and my doctor was interested in ordering one. I've also lent it to friends who have been curious. In fact, I kind of miss my copy right now - it's out on loan.
The book covers the basics of the lap band, gives the pros & cons, and has a great section on the psychological challenges you will face. A really good overall review.
I received a lap band 2.5 months ago and I'm down 35 lbs so far. One of the best decisions I've made.
| | Great book! by C. Thompson (Kansas) 5 Stars May 18, 2009 This was a great read. Very professionally written with just enough information to gain knowledge but not so much to overwhelm.
I loved the discussion about the emotional side of the journay.
| | These reviews are so suspicious! by Adrianne Summerfield (Portland OR USA) 3 Stars April 07, 2009 These positive and glowing reviews are all obviously made up profiles. That's not honest. It's obvious the same writer/writers wrote all these. The book was OK. There are better.
