EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description In 2005, firebrand radio talk show host Neal Boortz and Georgia congressman John Linder created The FairTax Book, presenting the American public with a bold new plan designed to eliminate federal taxes and the IRS, jump-start the U.S. economy, bring back lost industries and jobs, and recapture billions of untaxed dollars hoarded by criminal and offshore businesses. Their book became an immediate #1 New York Times bestseller, propelling a powerful grassroots tax reform movement that's spreading like wildfire across our nation. Now, three years later, the authors are back to answer the outspoken and misinformed critics of their innovative proposal. Offering eye-opening new insights not covered in the original book, FairTax: The Truth debunks the negative myths and gross misrepresentations of this groundbreaking idea. The FairTax plan is simple, brilliant, and it will work—enabling you to keep all the money in your paycheck; eliminating the fraud, hassle, and waste of our current system; and revolutionizing the way America pays for itself. |

| Fair Tax : Great idea that is probably not going to happen by Drew Cobb (Jacksonville, FL USA) 3 Stars November 27, 2009 This is a good book about a great idea that will probably never come to pass.
| | After the 1st book, you had questions - this answers them! by Jamie Beu (Orlando, FL) 5 Stars October 27, 2009 If you've read the first book by Neal Boortz et al (The FairTax Book: Saying Goodbye to the Income Tax and the IRS), you will likely have at least 1 or 2 questions regarding the FairTax. This book will answers those questions, as well as some others you didn't even think to ask (but were glad they are answered here as well).
Caution: Once you read these books, you too will likely become a FairTax evangelist. (Did you ever think you'd find taxes to be an interesting topic of discussion, and not just frustration?)
| | How American can save this country from total diaster and bankruptucy by Mary B. Hardy (Tulsa, Okla USA) 5 Stars September 22, 2009 This is the ONLY way we can stop Amerians from
cheating and/or "forgetting" to pay their income
tax. Instead of saying "tax the rich" the tax
is actually less, and the people who HAVE the money
will be the one who are paying the taxes and
thus supporting the country.
| | Informative and fun by David Moore (Georgia) 5 Stars September 04, 2009 If you want to think seriously about our nation's tax policy, this book is for you. It is serious stuff written in a fun, very readable way.
Hopefully you will read this and come to see the insanity and the unfairness of our present income and payroll tax system and become a supporter of the Fair Tax.
| | The Best Tax Idea that the U. S. congress HATES! by Darby McPhael (Midwest City, Oklahoma United States) 5 Stars August 27, 2009 This Idea will not only reduce and equalize the nations primary revenue source, but will bring in manufacturers from all over the world and those manufacturers will bring not only manufacturing BACK to the U. S. A., but will bring employment for everyone who has lost their job over the last year. But this is an idea that the United States House of Representatives will hate because it will strip them of their greatest power - the ability to tax the states(by taxing the citizens of the states), and thereby dictating to the states compliance with new "laws" by threatening to cut off "federal aid" for non-compliance(in the U. S. Criminal Code, this is called [...]).
Since January 20 of this year, PresBo has revealed himself to be a radical socialist, hoping to spend this country into bankruptcy by borrowing and spending enourmous amounts of money, hoping that the economy will fail, so that he can step forward and "save" the country by taking it into socialism.
He has been met with rowdy town hall meetings, tea parties, and, primarily, questions he and his comrads can't answer. He has raised the ire of the American people as no president before him and he has discovered that the American people are smarter than he thought. Few Americans are unaware of the ire PresBo has raised nation wide - I am sure that you are aware of this.
You must consider voting out your representative and your senator next November, 2010. If they are incumbants, then they are the people who are ignoring your call for an end to the foolishness of the income tax and all of its side effects, primarily the impossible tax code and the Internal Revenue "Service." THESE PEOPLE WORK FOR YOU, AND YOU HAVE THE POWER TO REMOVE THEM FROM OFFICE! DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO TAX YOU INTO OBLIVION. Start by attending a town hall meeting or other functions where YOU CAN SPEAK YOUR MIND. These people think you won't do any thing, so surprise them by REGISTERING TO VOTE this year so you will be ready to vote next year; If you are an independant, register as a republican so you can help stop the RNC from nominating nominees WHO HAVE NO CHANCE OF WINNING THE WHITE HOUSE; find out who chairs the democrat party and the republican party in your state and WRITE LETTERS TO BOTH OF THEM DEMANDING THAT THEY ABOLISH THE INCOME TAX AND THE IRS; speak to your neighbors, your fellow employees, your friends, your church members, everyone that you can, and remind them of the ENOURMOUS TAXES YOU WILL ALL BE PAYING IF "HEALTH CARE," "THE CARBON FOOTPRINT BILL", "TARP", AND "THE BANK BAIL OUT" ALL ARE RAMMED THROUGH THE CONGRESS AND SIGNED BY PRESBO!
And while you speak out about these things, SPEAK OUT ABOUT ABOLISHING THE INCOME TAX AND THE IRS. If you fail to speak now, you will not have another chance.
