Bought this fan to cool a Dell StudioXPS 9000. You can hear the fan a little bit but it's not annoying at all and moves quite a bit of air. The fan is a little bit loose in the slot but nothing to really be concerned about. If the brackets in your computer are the screw-down type the fan won't be loose at all. The cord from the fan is about 8" long and may not reach your power plugs: you may need a short extension cable. If you have a recent machine with SATA connectors you will need a SATA to Molex adapter which you can buy here on Amazon. This fan has the Molex older style power connectors. My machine has a raid controller and the battery on it was overheating. I bought this fan to cool it down and it worked perfect.

This little machine is a beast!!! You can feel the air being pulled out but the best part is you can't hear it at all!!!! Wonderful for gaming since you don't want any distracting background noise when you are deep in it.

The title says it all. This thing is not well constructed and when plugged into my power system (it plugs into a four pin connector) it shorted out the system. The behavior was repeatable. I very much recommend you look for a different product.

I bought this blower to help cool off my video card, which tends to run hot and make some games cranky. However, the blower isn't overly strong. Also, the pictures online seem to imply that it could blow air INTO the case, but it only sucks air out. Unfortunately, my video card is long and the blower is short, so the area of my video card that runs hot (where the heat sink and its own fan are) doesn't even benefit from the blower. I'm better off by taking off the side panel and blowing a small house fan into the case, which cost me the same thing as the blower and does a better job of cooling off the entire machine. The other problem I have is that the blower is rather tall, so by putting it under my video card, it practically sits on top of my sound card, which is two slots down from the video card. Not that I'm worried about my sound card, but if that was something more important, I could see the proximity of the blower's bottom causing heating issues there. If you have only a very mildly hot machine, and you don't need one specific thing cooled to any great degree, then this might help you out. It seems it's made really to just sit in a wide open area of your PCI slots and cool your machine by only a degree at most. Unforunately, it didn't help me with my specific problem.

This item was a let down but,I guess you get what you pay for.This fan barely pushes any air.
