I bought this in conjunction with a GeForce 9800GT graphix card. I felt like with a card so powerful, I needed more RAM to handle it. With 4GB of Corsair added onto my 2 GB, I am now running 6GB RAM on my quad-core system with the 9800GT. Everything is working fine. Games are amazing quality at highest graphic settings and I'm still getting a cool 50 fps.

Nice. Booted right up first time. I haven't tweaked it as yet, but will soon enough.
Mine were packaged in a clam shell blister pack & partially wrapped with air bags. No problems from initial install. Briefly tweaked them, but still have other things to install before I want to test this long term.
Sorry to hear about the bad "New Egg" sticks. It seems to be common from them (see my review on the PNY stick a few years ago).

Not sure what revision I have but have had no problems using Gigabyte MB's. I probably wouldn't buy it again because there is ram out there with better ratings.
