Unlike commonly available ionic units, it does not produce harmfully elevated ozone levels; it also reduces existing indoor ozone, which the EPA indicates can be a serious respiratory irritant and asthma trigger. With no filters to replace or clean, the compact cleaner pulls air into the internal chamber which is heated to 400F to silently destroy airborne mold, bacteria, viruses, pet dander, pollen and common household dust mites in a room up to 450 sq. ft.. Despite its high internal heat level, the purifier will not change the room temperature. This machine successfully removed the aspergillis mold from my room. I have serious lung disease and am highly allergic to mold- i did a mold test before and after having it in place for 1 week- and it worked wonders- mold was gone! i haven't even explored what other benefits it has, ie smells etc- i'm so happy with this result. I highly recommend this for anyone with allergies or lung problems.

The product really does seem to improve the air quality of my baby's room. Her room smells cleaner and she seems to get sick less often. We've had the product for about two months now. So far so good.

First of all, I never really noticed a difference in air quality. The light on my unit died about a year after purchased and since there are no movable parts, the only way one could tell it was on was to touch to see if warm. I should have returned the unit at that time since it was still within the 2 year warranty, but it still worked so I didn't feel like dealing with the hassle of returning it. Finally, the unit died. I didn't notice at first because there was no light, but I touched it one day and it was ice cold. I tried moving it to a different outlet, but nothing. Since this is an unusual design, I couldn't open it up to try to figure out what was wrong, nor could I bring it to a repair person. I contacted the company and was told I could return the unit to be repaired for $80 (plus shipping), which in my opinion is just not worth it for something that I didn't think worked very well in the first place. If only it had died 2 MONTHS earlier, it would have been under warranty!! Just be warned-- if you already have a unit that is still under warranty, I would return at ANY sign of malfunction!

I bought this product at http://www.breathemoreeasily.com , but wanted to share my feedback in this forum. It has dramaitcally increased the "breatheability" of my air. I suffer from MCS, astham, and severe allergies, and the use of this product has helped tremendously...and even allowed me to reduce the amount of medication I take! It has already paid for itself!

I make about 10 to 20 purchases on Amazon every month - both for personal and business uses - but I almost never review the products I buy. However, I thought I should write one for the Airfree P1000 because it really is a great product that deserves a little of my time and effort.
We own an Airfree P1000 and a RabbitAir BioGS. We put the Airfree P1000 in our bedroom because it's silent and serves as a nightlight for me; I am night blind. The light is adjustable so I can keep it dim and not disturb my husband. We don't always get to open our bedroom window because it is right by our neighbor's patio where she keeps one of her dogs and she is not always home to clean up after the dog right after it goes.
Also, we have two cats and a dog so it's impossible to have the bedroom smelling fresh. However, the P1000 was able to completely freshen-up the bedroom in just a couple of hours. It even removed the scent coming from the plug-in air freshener. And being inexpensive and virtually maintenance free are definitely additional pluses. I am extremely pleased with the Airfree P1000.
