Works well for AM talk which is what I use it for, primarily.
Only drawback for me is that the buttons are easily pressed by accident. So I often find that if I bend over or brush something against the radio, the power goes off, or the channel or band changes suddenly. Maybe a design with recessed buttons would be better. Still, I'm happy with it.

I read the reviews on this product before purchase. It appeared to be one of the best in its category. I was looking for a small AM-radio that I would wear while working. I'm in and out of buildings all day long. The reception is great in most situations. The size is small enough to slip into your pocket. The station lock is a great feature but still allows adjustment of the volumne.

I use this Walkman for listening to AM talk-shows while going for a walk. It is compact and the AM reception is excellence. The price was slightly over $25, so I got free shipping with Amazon.

I previously owned a model SRF-M35FP. The previous model was easier to operate by feel, and it was possible to both view and set the clock while the radio was on. This model requires you to turn off the radio to view the clock. However, the previous model used two AAA batteries while this one only uses one, and the one lasts longer than the two did in the other. This represents a serious cost savings, so overall I prefer this one.

Anyone who gives this radio a favorable rating and says it has good sensitivity doesn't know what they are talking about. I had a older Sony FM Sports Walkman with analog tuning and the sensitivity and selectivity were vastly superior to this unit. Reception is marginal on powerful local stations and impossible on weak stations. Sony radio engineers should be embarrassed to release such a poor performing product- this is a good example of why Sony is struggling these days.
Also, the unit beeps loudly in your earphones with every button press. Totally annoying.
