Does your entertainment system have wooden doors or would you like to mount your components in a closet? Without a clear line of sight infrared (IR) signals from a remote control will not reach the equipment. We have the answer. Our Remote Control Repeater Kit contains all equipment necessary to remotely operate 4 components (expandable to 12 components) using your standard remotes. Mount the IR receiver in a central location and connect to the IR Distribution Block. This block repeats the signals through emitters to your electronic components. Your components may now be mounted in your entertainment center, closet or another room! The kit is self-contained and easy to connect. This little device works fairly well. I bought it because all my electronics are in a cabinet with a smoked glass door, and I was having a little trouble with the cable box changing from a wide angle. It's cool watching the blue light flash when you key the remote, so you KNOW the repeater is getting the signal from the remote. However, the range is REDUCED by a fair amount with this device. I can change the channel on the cable box from way in the kitchen (40 feet) with the glass cabinet door open, using the remote WITHOUT the repeater. The sofa is about 12 feet from the remote sensor head, and even though the blue indicator flashes that it is getting the signal, it does not send enough power to the cable box to change the channel from the far end of the sofa. I was bummed because I thought I would be able to use this thing from anywhere in the room. I just got a different set of non-working areas...

This product took 5 minutes to install and works perfect no issues. I definitely recommend it to any one that doesn't want the lights from a cable box in the bedroom or unsightly display of DVD, VHS, or Stereo eguipment dominating the view.

Keep Your AV Equipment Behind Closed Doors by Get Rich Quick (Near Hershey, PA) 5 Stars

As much as I love my Sony DVD player and Denon AV receiver, I prefer that they do their jobs out of sight. So I put them in a furniture cabinet that matches my great room's decor. The problem is that when I wanted to watch a DVD or listen to FM or access my cable box, I had to keep the doors of that cabinet open in order to use my remote control devices. My wife always complained that the cabinet was unsightly with the doors open. The Cables to Go Remote Control Repeater changed everything. It took no more than 10 minutes to plug in the device's AC adapter, apply the self-adhesive receptors to the front of each device and then find a convenient place to mount the external receiver, which I adhered to the top of my TV. Without any programming whatsoever, the device instantly recognized each of my four remote controls and transferred my commands to the AV devices in the cabinet. This device is fantastic!

This product has performed flawlessly. I have one installed directly bellow a Sharp 65" LCD display and I installed one directly bellow my sisters 42" plasma and have zero interference problems. I also didn't need to place the flashers on my gear but only on the side of the equipment bay. The i/r signal bounces off the inside of the door and reaches all of my gear without a problem (the components are recessed four inches from the inside of the door and the hight of the stack of components is in exess of three feet) so I'd say the flashers are more than adequate. Also, the whole system costs less than half the price of the i/r target alone from the burned out Niles system it replaced (the whole Niles system costs in exess of $400.00!)so the value is outstanding.
I highly recomend this product.

I searched for weeks to find a solution for my new house. I had just got a 55" LED LCD TV and new leather furniture and the last thing I wanted in the room was a stack of electronics emitting different color LEDs from every knob and switch. I mounted a shelf in the garage, directly behind the TV, and now I have one of the cleanest setups I have seen. I tried 3 or 4 different IR repeaters from $40-$150 and none met my expectations. Some had delays, others I had to hold the buttons for 2-5 seconds, and some just simply did not work. The 40430 setup easily in about 5 minutes, and worked immediately with my Tivo, DVD, DVR and HD cable box. I had a concern with the HD functions so tech support gladly sent me a newer revision of the IR receiver, no questions asked. I never had to speak to a machine and the 2 guys I spoke to (Doug & Brad) were very nice. Now everyone that comes to the house, friends, family and service guys all comment and are just amazed at the simple look and the ease of use! Note: Xbox 360 uses RF signals so you shouldnt need a repeater. Mine works just fine through the wall. Also, if you mount the ir emitters directly on a device you should remove the sticky stuff (which sort of obstructs the ir signal) and just tape it on.
