I bought 12 of these as funny Christmas gifts for friends. I put batteries in these little boxes so my friends could use them right away and I witnessed 12 of these erratically light up... some people where totally sober being told they were drunk and other people who had been drinking and had lost proper use of the English language got a reading of sober. I would not bother with this even if they are being handed out for free. It's too frustrating to try to get it to work.

I use the operations manual properly but still cannot get the device working properly. it beeps but does not recognize the level of alcohol at all. it always shows green even if I am really drunk :-(

I bought this for a friend's birthday as a gag gift and it was incredibly disappointing. Obviously you can't expect that much from such a cheap device, but still, its lack of instructions and inability to register anything outside of pure vodka was, again, disappointing. Not worth paying any amount of money for. If you are truly interested in purchasing some sort of BAC analyzer/breathalyzer that is actually useful, you'll need to be willing to spend a lot more money.

I ordered two and one didn't even register unless you put it next to 150 proof alcohol. The one that did work was very vague and not too useful or fun to use. I would reccomend getting one with more range and precision.
