Love the features. Easy to connect, its all color coordinated for the non-technical advanced such as myself. Speakers r not wireless which would have been a nice addition but there is plenty of speaker wire to place them just about anywhere. Shipped quick!

This is a very powerful system with excellent sound and performance! I do wish it had the "auto calibrate" system for the speakers. That is why I did not give it 5 stars. Other than that, this unit is the best in it's class!! You can spend a thousand or more dollars and not get a better sound system.

easy to setup, fairly easy to use but mine started screamin (high pitched sound) after I used it - and turned it off - yes powered down.
After playing a DVD, and then turning the unit off, I would wake up in the middle of the night - thinking my ears were ringing - nope - had to unplug the unit to get it to stop.
They replaced the main system board and something else, hope that works, haven't tried it out yet.

I was between the Samsung HT - BD1250 and the Panasonic SC-BT300 1250W 7.1 Channel, both Blue Ray system at the same price range. I took a test drive at Best Buy and was very impressed with the Panasonic sound. CNET gave Samsung a raving review and I kind of went with that. I didn't like the idea of having two extra speakers and their respective wires across my living room so I didn't go with Panasonic 7.1 option. On the other hand Samsung speakers look attractive. The sound was not bad either. After connecting at home played one of my DVD's and the sound was quite impressive. I am not supper picky but I do know what a good sound from a crappy one. Plenty of power to shake your house, great bass, crisp treble, just nice and for the price I can't complain of that.With the Internet connectivity and also the ability to play music as a home stereo this is a great system for the price.
There is one thing the buyer should research before buying this product. I suspect, and please don't quote me on this one but I suspect Samsung does not have a up to date implementation when it comes to HDMI connectivity. 20% of the time my Sony Bravia can't find the Blue Ray player and display a "non signal message" I heard other people commenting on the same problem. Hummm, that is not good. You fumble with the controls, connect and disconnect cables and the image comes up again (not good when you have all your friends ready to watch a movie and you have to do that). I made some calls to Sony and Samsung, did research on the net and found out there are issues with HDMI connections and this is supposedly a technology in progress and not well tested yet. The system connects fine using the component in/out but the image quality is not as good as HDMI, some folks can't tell the difference, I do. I am still undecided If I can live with this problem and will try a new set of expensive cables to see if it remedies this problem. This is the only negative issue I found and it might not be a problem for most people specially if your TV is Samsung too or if you can't tell the difference in the image quality between HDMI and component.

I do love this system but had to purchase the seperate Wireless unit ($103) and the Internet dongle ($72) - I know the other systems I looked at, like one from Sony, had either the rear wireless speakers or the wireless internet included.
Another beef is that the unit has no HDMI inputs but I guess that is normal at this price point.
However, the picture and sound quality is great - I am very happy with the products (and the extras) - just factor in another $175 for add wireless rear speakers and wireless internet.
