I have Asus Eee 901. It has 2 SSD inside - 2 Gb quite fast and 6Gb extremely slow. The SaberTooth SS is about twice faster then 2Gb Asus disk. But it not so fast as it promised by AMP [...]. It writes only 1MB/s with 4kB files. AMP shows picture with 1.9MB/s and promises max speed 100MB/s on packaging. But it isn't true at list on my computer.
I'm satisfied with the speed in general but it makes me don't believe in advertisements.

I previously owned an Asus Eee PC 701 and really liked everything about it, other than the small screen and small SSD. So when I had the chance to buy an Eee PC 900, I jumped on it. However, the included SSD in the 900 is truly, incredibly slow. I ended up buying the 32GB SaberTooth and it made a world of difference in speed (and size, for that matter). A few things to remember when installing:
1. Be very careful when removing the old SSD. I somehow fried my old one, and I'm usually pretty careful about these things.
2. Make sure to update your BIOS first, using the newer BIOS available on the Asus site
3. When updating your BIOS, you use a USB stick to put it on there. Make sure the USB is formatted to FAT-16, not FAT-32, or it may not work.
