| buy it by Brad R. Johnson 5 Stars September 26, 2009 I know this is not a new album, but as I listen to it yet again I wonder why this group isn't more appreciated. This album is along the lines of CSNY - Deju Vu, in my opinion. In other words, a must own. More modern, of course, but just completely awesome. It's great song after awesome song, all solid.
| | Great discovery by Mario Villalobos (Mexico City) 5 Stars September 06, 2009 I discovered this album (and band) by chance. The first time I heard it I thought it wasn't much my style, it sounded too popsy for me, but then I heard it a second time and it grabbed my attention. By the third listen I was taken. Now I'm a fan. My best discovery this year!
| | Rogue Wave is starting to Crest by Pete the Leg (Chicago, Illinois) 4 Stars January 27, 2009 I had a chance to see this band at the Pritzker Pavilion with Death Cab this past June 2008, and I felt they were poised to take the next step. The music is tight and the singer is a good lyricist and they put on a good show. This new album was featured and is very good. This is a band to watch. Not commercial, but good honest composition.
| | Quality CD by L. Will (Rochester, MN USA) 4 Stars September 18, 2008 I got this CD after I fell in love with 'Lake Michigan' and discovered that it was they who had made 'Eyes'. The CD is pretty good, though none of the songs compares to 'Lake Michigan', but there are a number that I am happy to have come up on the play list. I don't know who I would compare them to as I am not well versed in the category, but I'd say it was worth the money and is good relaxing music.
| | one that will grow on you by jbsd (san diego) 3 Stars August 27, 2008 wasn't really all that wild about this at first, but this album has definitely grown on me. i would really miss this from my collection if it were not there. definitely mood music though, a little more on the mellow side. all in all a very good album, but not everyone will love it. if i could, i would give it 3.5 stars. there are definitely a couple stand out tracks. i would like to see these guys rock out more to tell the truth because i think they have serious potential for music with more gusto or punch. their pretty songs are really pretty, and nice, but when they do rock, they do well, but then trail way to deep into a wall of sound kind of thing, but it just turns into too much noise with not enough definition. they shine when their sound is defined, but often trail off into oblivion. that being said, i still think it's a good album and sometimes just hits the spot. and if you're not thrilled at first give it another try when you have time to listen to the whole thing in the car at night.
