Shows just how much Saliva has grown as musicians since their 2001 debut by George Dionne (Cape Cod, MA) 5 Stars

The Good "Family Reunion" kicks off the album in anthemic style, with a catchy groove and a memorable chorus hook. Is there a Saliva album that doesn't start off this way? "My Own Worst Enemy" is not a cover of the infamous Lit song, but its a guitar driven hard rock track with plenty of anger. The acoustic track "How Could You" delves into the torturous emotions you feel after catching you lover cheating on you. Josey delivers his lyrics with perfect emotion. "Hunt You Down" seems to be the flip song of its predecessor. This time the emotion factor is turned way up as Scott plots his revenge. "Forever and a Day" is another ballad-type track in which Scott wears his heart on his sleeve. "I'm Coming Back" is a throw-back to Saliva's debut sound that is sure to please long-time fans. The group pays homage to their roots and their hometown affections on "Southern Girls." The album's final track "So Long" is another song from the depths of Josey's heart. The Bad Nothing notable The Verdict Cinco Diablo shows just how much Saliva has grown as musicians since their 2001 debut Every Six Seconds. With each album they release, Saliva has shown that they are more than a rap-rock flash in the pan by branching out with more melodies and ballads. Don't think for a minute that the group has gone soft through. There are still plenty of anthems to rock out to.

Editorial Review is Wrong by Sam Krutchfeld (Victoria, Texas USA) 4 Stars

How lazy do you have to be to not know this is Saliva's sixth CD release. Isn't it clever to say the "aptly-titled" Cinco Diablo is the band's FIFTH release? It's even more clever that it's the sixth release. Let's see, Saliva, Every Six Seconds (Ooo. Ooo. Let me guess, their sixth release? LOL!), Back Into Your System, Survival of the Sickest (Uhmmm, their "sickest" release? Ha, ha, get it?), Blood Stained Love Story. That's five, Editorial Review. Don't even bother. It's Saliva. It's great. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because I haven't played it yet.

Saliva's best since survival of the sickest by Robert J. England (Lynchburg, Va USA) 4 Stars

I was hoping this album would make up for their last album, Bloob Stained Love Story (which quite frankly, was slow, poppish, and sounded like they were selling out). I was not disappointed. Family Reunion - I liked this song, but its not a song I'd listen to on repeat My Own Worst Enemy - Good guitar rips, this song I'd put in an action movie Best of Me - This song is a little too repitive to listen to over and over, but its GREAT to listen to when you want to hear it. How Could You - Softer rock, a good song nevertheless Hunt You Down - One of my favorite saliva songs in years, up there with their early stuff. Judgement Day - My favorite song on this CD, amazing guitar rips, great to rock out to. Forever And A Day - Has the same sort of feel as Rest In Pieces, which i liked a lot, i love this song too even though it's still slower than i usually like. I'm Coming Back - Has a SERIOUS flashback to their old sound. This is a good song. Southern Girls - This song has a little classic rock feel to it, This is a great song if you like the ACDC style. So Long - Just like a a good movie that has a bad ending, this song kils the album, its the reason i couldnt give it 5 stars. With the exception of the last track, and "How Could You", this is a great album.

this CD is great - not super crazy about the first song but the rest totally makes up for it - nice art work on the cover as well - a must buy for all heavy metal lovers
