Zero stars if I could by Capt. Plu (New York, NY) 1 Stars

Corbin can't sing - you can tell how they manipulate his voice on most of the songs. He's trying to be like Michael Jackson and/or Justin Timberlake and it's just not working. The songs blend together and they sound very cookie-cutter - what a surprise coming from the Disney tween factory. Just because he can dance well in the HSM movies, doesn't mean he should make an album.

Speed of light comes to a screeching halt. by J. D. Kimbrough (Midwest) 2 Stars

As a big fan of Corbin Bleu, I was really expecting a lot from this album. While in some cases I did get what I was expecting, (Whatever it takes, paralyzed, close, champion), the rest of the album sounds mediocre and under produced. I know Corbin has it in him to release a killer album, but this one isn't it.

Best album from a "Disney Star" by Jamie (Pittsburgh, PA) 5 Stars

"Speed of Light" is a major improvement over Corbin's 2007 debut album. I felt that his debut, even though it had a few good songs, seemed like it was thrown together. But SOL shows a lot of Corbin's musical growth. I get an 80's pop vibe on some songs, and modern dance pop on others. Corbin has crafted an extremely good pop album. The songs have catchy lyrics (I keep getting "Fear of Flying" and "Moments That Matter" stuck in my head lol). Corbin's vocals are good throughout. His voice by itself is pleasant to the ears and on the parts of songs where they filtered it through a vocoder, his vocals still sound good. I always felt that out of the High School Musical cast, his voice was the one that seemed the most suited to mainstream music. All that's left to make me happy is to see Corbin perform these songs live, so I can see his amazing dance skills coupled with this music.

More mature & eclectic...amazing growth, amazing album! by Amy Braun (Orlando, FL USA) 5 Stars

I've been a big Corbin Bleu fan for a few years now, and I knew that I'd love his new album, "Speed of Light", but it is even more incredible than I thought that it would be. There's classic rock influences, pop and r&b influences, and some club tracks. Lyrically, Corbin has grown a lot since his last album, "Another Side". Girls, friends, family, your past...he's got it all covered. Every song is great, and there is a good eclectic mix on the album, which makes for a great listening experience. Lyrically, my favorite songs are "Moments That Matter", "Fear of Flying", and "Champion", and musically-wise, my favorite songs are "Whatever It Takes" and "Willing To Go". "Close" is also great, both musically and lyrically. If you are a fan of his last album, then defintely check out "Speed Of Light", and if you haven't ever listened to his music, give this a chance- there is something for everyone!
