Very unexpected! Very very experimental! by Boris Todorov (Columbus, OH) 5 Stars

Absolutely great album! Not like Primus at all (I love Primus too). There is a heavy Residents influence ;) and I love it. Very very experimental, can't stop listening to it. The track with Eugene Hutz is amazing as the rest are but my personal faves are Red State Girl and Booneville Stomp. Whoever wants to dwell in the past should stick to their old Primus / Les Claypool albums :) hehe.

Wait...is this a companion effort? by clallseven (Cumberland, MD USA) 3 Stars

Judging by the title of the album and the leadoff track, I'm going to assume this is a companion album to the (Nintendo Wii and DS) video game "Mushroom Men." I know for certain the first track is the main theme of the video game and the Mr. Claypool wrote all the music for the game. (You even got a trippy blacklight poster of Claypool and some shrooms when you pre-ordered the game!) So for everyone asking "what is this?" or stating "Les Claypool is uninspired" you may want to examine this option before naysaying his efforts, and consider the album for what it probably is - video game music.

Les Claypool pulls a "Radiohead" by 120minuteIPA 1 Stars

When I saw a new Les Claypool release I bought it immediately because, after all, it would be so great I'd have to have it. This release is terrible and is the worst music purchase I have ever made. If an unknown band released junk like this any review would most likely be one star if anyone was foolish enough to buy the crap in the first place. One or two wacky songs are fine, but a whole album of lame wacky songs wastes my time and money. There can't be more than 5 minutes of catchy stuff to listen to on this album. I'll be screening Les Claypool stuff more closely in the future and all but two songs from Of Fungi and Foe have been been deleted from my media server.

Can't believe that so many people gave this a bad rating. All I can say is that this deserves 5 stars. No it doesn't sound like Primus but it's not Primus.

Fully sick, impressive. by Martin A. McGee (Danville, California) 5 Stars

Mr. Claypool should be commended for this, and all of the man's artistic releases thus far. We pay a gratitude of debt for ya Les. Keep stompin brother. This is some seriously sick groove lube. - Marty
