The Best Song of 2007 by Flap Jackson (State Road, NC) 5 Stars March 06, 2008 "She would even miss you if you taught her sight."
"Sky is burning, but at least we know we're warm."
"No one, no one, is on Lake Michigan."
So goes some of the amazing, well-crafted lyrics of "Lake Michigan" by the little know, but amazing independent group, "Rouge Wave." I mean, read them, have you heard them anywhere else? They're so simple, yet so complex and brilliant, which is really the story of the whole song. I mean, if you read the whole lyrics, you could think the song is about Global Warming, but it's so cryptic, it's hard to tell. The song makes you think, it's non-conventional, it's original, it's amazing, it's well-thought-out, it's the best of 2007.
Overall, I could go on for hours on this song, but you just have listen to it for yourself, I promise you, you'll love it. And again, it's my choice for Best Song of 2007.
