| DEFYING TERRIBLE by Ben Wasden (Uriah, AL) 1 Stars July 27, 2009 Defying Gravity has for some reason gotten some good feedback online. I don't understand why in the slightest. The script sucks, as does some of the acting, and the characters are badly written. Also, it's supposed to be a "gay" film yet there isn't a whole lot of gay content in the movie. There are way more straight characters than gay in this movie. Some of the straight characters even say homophobic things, which got under my skin. Do yourself a fever and defy Defying Gravity.

| | Zero gravity; defying entropy by Sneezer Tulane 2 Stars January 31, 2009 A low-budget film, kind of a cross between a made-for-tv movie and a soap opera, but more poorly done. If you cut the scenes in which people stare into the distance thoughtfully, the movie would be a half-hour shorter. Good for people who want to exercise by shifting uncomfortably. It has one redeeming feature: Daniel Chilson -- who, unsurprisingly, has not acted before or since -- is photogenic and terminally cute. He actually shows that it is possible for one person to have too much cuteness. The slight facial twitches and sensitive eye-squints are particularly endearing.
| | Wonderful Love Story by Robert D. Shull (Fairfield, OH) 5 Stars January 14, 2009 Defying Gravity is an amazing well-told story that will ring true for a much broader audience than just the LGBT community. Setting the film in the traditionally homophobic enclaves of the Greek community allows the story to progress in a very realistic fashion. The acting is well-done and believable, even in the emotionally charged moments of the film. I cannot recommend Defying Gravity enough.
| | I'm lovin' it! by Xyane Alexander (Clevland, Oh (Lorain)) 5 Stars September 10, 2007 I love this movie. It is not overtly sexual. There are no nude scenes other that some shirtless frat boys. It is a romantic story. I think it is geared more toward the straight acting guys out there. There is one scary queen in it. You will not miss him/her/it. Lol! This movie shows heterosexuals at their best and worst behavior. For me, it's a comfort movie. If I have a bad day or just need something easy on the mind, this is it. Some may not agree but it is a favorite of mine. If you like this you should also see "The Trip". It is romantic, funny, serious, & heart wrenching.

Sweet, smart, and funny, Mulligans is more than a poignant family drama; more than a coming out movie.

The Davidson family welcomes Chase but as the summer blossoms, unexpected attractions flare. Tyler s Mom Stacey tries to keep it all together while Tyler s Dad Nathan valiantly struggles with his long suppressed sexuality.
Exceptionally well-written and packed with great...
