Description
This astonishing, scintillating collection from the silent era, most of which are from the 1920s, are genuine, legitimate and by today's hardcore standards, amazingly charming, pornographic short films that leave nothing to the imagination. From predictable fantasy scenarios - monk spies on, then joins naughty nuns; teacher must spank naughty schoolgirls - to more esoteric fare (homosexuality and animal ecstasy, to name just two), vintage porn has never been more accessible...or attainable. The 12 shorts in The Good Old Naughty Days were primarily designed to be shown in the waiting rooms of brothels, amusing patrons - and no doubt giving them some ideas - as they awaited their girl. They also reveal production standards far in advance of comparable films being made elsewhere at the time, as well as an inventive and often humorous array of diverse couplings. These films were usually created in a haphazard fashion in an afternoon with friends and local prostitutes lending a hand for a few cents. All of them requested to remain anonymous, which makes it impossible to identify who really acted or directed them. For this reason, it is rather delightful to watch these "actors" often having to readjust their wigs and fake moustaches in the middle of their scenes so as not to be recognized unmasked. It is nevertheless touching to see how fresh and naïve these films look in comparison with today's X-rated film productions. Considering the age of these films, it is miraculous that they have been rediscovered and restored. These films are a part of our heritage and certainly a part of the secret history of cinema. In their own amusing way, these images involve us in a very direct, physical and intimate relationship with the good old days. These films have been restored by the Archives of the Centre National de la Cinématographie (The National Center for Cinematography in France). If you enjoy 'retro porn' you will enjoy this. Better quality than most I've seen.
If you've never watched 'retro porn' be aware that you won't find Pamela Andersons' here. Most of the woman are bigger than today's stars. Also, there are no shaved underarms or crotches.
If you are homophobic, stay away. There are a couple scenes of male-to-male oral and anal sex.
Also, there is a scene with a dog that laps both female and male crotches. Even I found it a little disturbing when the dog and a woman took turns on a guy!

This cd is several short clips of movies from the "good old days". Although it is a little chopped up in places, I found that I really enjoyed watching it. You can look at it as pornographic or as a glimps into the past. My first thought was" I didn't know they did THAT back then". But I guess what they do on film has been done since the beginning of time. I found it to be good humorus entertainment but you have to hide it from the kids.

This film is highly erotic and historical. I purchased it with that curiosity of the old at the forefront of my reasoning... it was a afascinating look into life a hundred years ago. The oldest film in this collection dates back to 1905!
The people who made this collection were good enough to provide some historical background; information such as some of these films were made using legitimate films' sets and costumes. Plus, that famous directors made soem of these pornographic films, albeit anonymously.
I don't typically purchase pornography (because the computer's there if I REALLY needed it) but this is just... I don't know. I was so intriqued to see these early films. I think my interest in this collection has more to do with my interest in early film than anything else. I was surprised by how much homoeroticism is here. Plus, the cartoon... wow. I'm sure there's been a good bit of talk abotu that cartoon.
I guess it's true what "they" say, that new inventions (film, phone, the internet) are driven by sex.

If you are buying vintage ertotica, this is one that is watchable. Of several DVDs of vintage I've purchased over the years, this is the only one I have kept.
