| A major disappointment. Look elsewhere if you want to do tai chi by Pen Name: "Matt" (San Francisco, CA USA) 1 Stars November 24, 2009 I don't normally review products. But my disappointment in this product prompts me to do so.
1. The DVD is hard to navigate. To find actual instruction for Tai chi moves - one has to hunt through too many different levels in the menu.
2. The instruction for the tai chi moves once you find them is minimal.
3. The DVD does not teach you anywhere near all 24 moves of tai-chi
4. The DVD is more a easy/going touchy feely way to wake up - more stretch and breath than anything.
5. It's very very repetitive.
6. While the outdoors scenes are pretty, the director rarely moves the camera in an effort to guide you towards further education.
I will be sending the DVD back. I suggest you look elsewhere as I will for guidance in tai-chi.

It will take some time to learn all the "moves" but feel confident that the instructional part of the DVD will teach me. I purchased Gentle Tai Chi at the same time. I have reviewed that separately.

| | The Real Deal... by T. Coffey (Georgia (USA)) 3 Stars July 02, 2009 I bought this DVD for my husband. He has taken a Tai Chi class or two in the past and really enjoyed it. He has enjoyed this DVD too. However, it's definitely for the Tai Chi enthusiast in that, it's a self-learn kind of lesson; the instructor does NOT walk you through each of the moves. Therefore, if you have a curiosity about Tai Chi and are looking for a Tai Chi lesson, this may not be the disc for you. If, on the other hand, you have been exposed to Tai Chi before and you really enjoy Tai Chi and want "someone" to do Tai Chi with / to lead you in Tai Chi (but not teach you per say), this is the DVD to have in your collection.
