CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 4.0 based on 1 review)
| A Must-Watch for Any New Parent by C. Grundman (Warner Roins, GA USA) 4 Stars October 23, 2008 As a student and soon-to-be graduate under a Child and Families Studies program, I would highly recommend this video to anyone that already has or is planning to have children. Dr. Brazelton explains the growth and development of infants and toddlers in a way that is easy to understand.
I like that the video uses actual parents, not just experts, to explain thoughts and feelings that they are going through during pregnancy, birth, and the few years after the birth. Each of the parents come from a different background, which helps to give a broader perspective of this important period of life.
The only drawbacks come from the DVD itself. When the films was playing from chapter to chapter, it always "gets stuck." When it does this you have to go back to the menu screen and find the chapter you were preparing to view and open it that way.
Also, the film is getting a little dated. However, the information in the film is still very valuable. While the DVD does not go into heavy detail in some areas, I think that the DVD is a good way to find information and can serve as a starting point for talking with your health care provider about your child's development.
