I recorded Subatomic Babies in Jamaica and New York. The video questions the act of bringing a baby into the world that sometimes seems at the brink of annihilation. Anyone born after the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, were born "under the atom." After visions of apocalypse, the tape dissolves into a series of dreamy evocations of mystical yearning - the gambler plays in candle light over the small cabin in the field.
