Jeanne Crain, Vincent Price, Edmund Purdom, Amedeo Nazzari. Here is a quality sword and sandal epic with a great cast that has been overlooked for years. Crain plays the stunning Egyptian beauty, Nefertiti. Purdom desires her but is foiled at every turn by an evil high priest who twice imprisons him. She eventually marries the Pharaoh and after his death becomes the queen of all Egypt. The high priest then attempts a military takeover! Some good action scenes follow. Price is most convincing as the vile high priest. Lots of excitement and court intrigue in this fine sword and sandal thriller. Nice color. 16mm.This product is manufactured on demand using DVD-R recordable media. Amazon.com's standard return policy will apply.

I cannot agree with the other reviewer on this page, concerning the print quality. The color is very good, the print is sharp, though only Pan & Scan. also Sinister Cinema do not put out bootleg films, they have the rights to release them. Yes it would be nice to see a Widescreen version, but 20th Century Fox,wont release it.,maybe one day It never even came out on VHS. Anyway the this version is Highly Recommended

Vincent Price deserves better treatment! by Jane Budson (Doylestown, PA USA) 1 Stars

Extremely poor quality transfer. Faded colors, pan and scan presentation leaves many scenes with both actors off screen; you can hear them but only partially see them at best. This is not an official studio release, it is a bootleg from Sinister Video. This movie didn't get any theatrical distribution in America; it was sold directly to television through Warner Brothers/Seven Arts. I have long wanted to see this film and could not sit through more than 30 minutes of the DVD because of its poor quality. For the Vincent Price completist only! All others save your dough for an official studio release.

Not for ancient Egypt buffs by HK (London, UK) 2 Stars

I am a classic movie buff and enjoy watching any film to do with ancient Egypt. But I was not quite enthralled by this version of Queen Nefertiti. Both Jean Crain and Edmund Pardom's acting was quite wooden at times, with the worst from Vincent Price who was completely miscat in the role of a priest. The dialogue was not brilliant either. I found, on the whole, entertaining in that it was about ancient Egypt, but for those who are not quite so enthusiastic, then I would definitely give this film a miss.
