| 'The Continuing Story of "The Tudors"" by Terry Richard (Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada) 5 Stars November 24, 2009 Season three of "The Tudors" continues with King Henry VIII being married to Jane Seymour who finally gives the King what he has always hoped for: a male heir to his Kingdom. Like his other mistresses and wives, Henry soon gets bored with Jane and turns his attention to other whores, most notably Anne of Cleves, then the King finds himself involved with the most dangerous woman he has ever enountered, Katherine Howard. This season also documents Henry's suppression of The Pigrimage of Cleves and the destruction and downfall of Thomas Cowell. An entertaing year with impeccable and oustanding production values, "The Tudors" will satisfy the most ardent of history buffs, especially those who have a fondness for European history. This season, however, only contains eights episodes, unlike the first two years that featured ten shows each.
| | This series has it all! by Melodie F. Kubik (New Jersey) 5 Stars November 24, 2009 I love this series. I do not get Showtime and buy the season DVD every year, and watch it within a week! Then I pass it to friends who love it just as much. It has everything a good story needs...Politics, love, sex, great actors, costumes, etc.
| | NOT AS GOOD AS SEASON 2 by Faye (Milw. WI USA) 3 Stars October 14, 2009 The Tudors: Season 3 isn't nearly as good as Season 2. I decided to hold off on purchasing Season 4 because I'm sure that would be a disappointment also.
I wish I would have read more customer reviews as I am sure that other viewers felt the same.
| | fantastic by love to read (San Marino, Ca. United States) 5 Stars August 31, 2009 The Tudor DVDs from
Showtime are beautiful to watch. Most of rhe history is correct. Henry VIII is portrayed so well as being rather nice when young and then getting really mean and cruel. Always interesting to watch.
| | Amazing! by Angelica Chatham 5 Stars August 20, 2009 The series just gets better every year. It's good to see that the makers haven't ever taken too much dramatic license and stuck to the facts of history.i would recommend this show to anyone. Such a shame there won't be a season 5.

The Tudors presents the rarely dramatized, tumultuous early years of King Henry VIII’s nearly 40 year, omnipotent reign (1509-1547). In addition to his famous female consorts and 20+ year marriage to Catherine of Aragon to the infamous dalliance with Anne Boleyn, the series delves in to Henry’s most notable political relationship and the deconstruction of the Roman Catholic Church in England.
