CUSTOMER REVIEWS (Average Customer Rating: 5.0 based on 4 reviews)
| Top product by Gamma Ray by M. D. Fonseca (Thunder) 4 Stars July 02, 2009 Don't get me wrong: I loved this DVD, even with the atrocious editing this thing had (in the main concert at Montreal). The guy who edited this was completely lost. The editing int he other shows (Wacken and Barcelona) is much better.
Anyway, the sound is spectacular! Song selection is good, I think it could have been better. The band performance is breathtaking in all performances.
Also as usual, the road movies are just a bunch of nonsense, where you'll get to know absolutely nothing about the band members more profound thoughts...
All in all, a very good DVD.
| | Not Hell Yeah, but HELL YEAH! by Cathleen Azzinaro (Baltimore, MD USA) 5 Stars April 20, 2009 Saw them a few months ago in Baltimore with Helloween...for all the years, they've never skipped a beat...heavier than ever. Go see them - support the bands!! Cat
| | A definative DVD of Gamma Ray thus far by Dennis Robert Brown 5 Stars February 01, 2009 If you are a Gamma Ray fan and just stumbled upon this DVD... GET IT !!!
Song selection is great and the video and audio are top notch. I had not purchased any of their previous DVD's but after seeing them on the "Hellish Rock" Tour with Helloween, purchasing this was a no brainer. I have all of their CD's but this DVD really puts their career into perspective. Watching it, you get the feeling that the guys behind Kai are as much a part of the evolution of Gamma Ray as Kai is. Granted, he was the guitar player of arguably THE premiere German Power Metal band Helloween, but you can tell by watching the DVD that his band-mates are not hired guns but rather a part of the band which has made it what it is today. The musicianship of Dirk, Dan, and Henjo are as great as expected. My personal favorites are "Gardens of the Sinner", "Somewhere out in Space" and "Land of the Free". Although these are classics, the whole DVD rocks. In the bonus footage, you see the fun they have on tour. More importantly, you see the success story of someone (Kai Hansen) who took a chance leaving safety (Helloween) behind and just going for it! Because he seems like such a good guy, you get the impression that the rest of the band just tear it up and rock the world FOR Kai and FOR their fans. FIVE stars... no question about it !

| 16.6 (Before the Devil Knows You're Dead) by Primal Fear
2009 release, the most powerful and ambitious album in Primal Fear's history. All the trademarks of the Primal Fear sound are featured and the total dedication to pure Heavy Metal is easily found in songs like 'Six Times Dead (16.6)', 'Soar', 'Smith & Wesson' as well as the epic stories, consummate musicianship and fantastic melodies in songs like 'Black Rain', 'No Smoke Without Fire', 'Torn' and the stylistically new ballad 'Hands Of Time' with the four guys all sharing the lead vocals....
