| Awesome DVD from a great band by Daniel R. Smith 5 Stars July 14, 2009 I also helped film this DVD (camera on the back of the stage) and i'm really happy with how it came out! Emil did a great job putting it all together. These guys are an amazing band to see live and i'm glad we could help capture that so that other people could experience it. If you like this dvd do yourself a favor and check out a Grails show, you WON'T be disappointed!

| Doomsdayer's Holiday by Grails
Their darkest, heaviest record yet, taking equal pride in smoky psychedelics and mountain-ascending riffs. Grail's avant-metal leanings are evident as always, but "Doomsdayer's Holiday" finds their already-broad palette continually expanding with 70's European film noir and cosmic free jazz explorations.

| Such Hawks Such Hounds: Scenes From the American Hard Rock Underground Directed By: John Srebalus Also With: John Srebalus (Producer), John Srebalus (Writer), Jessica Hundley (Producer)
"...what makes this documentary work is that it was born from within the scene." - HARP"...this ain't no chin-scratching academic text; it's raw live footage..." - SF Weekly"The best documentation of our music ever done." - Scott "Wino" Weinrich (The Obsessed, Saint Vitus, et. al.)"The first time anyone's gotten the Sleep story right." - Al Cisneros (Sleep, Om)For every music fan who says rock 'n' roll ain't what it used to be; for every pundit who concurs with Hunter S. Thompson's assessment...

| Geneva by Russian Circles
Geneva is a linear, ruthlessly gorgeous album. There's barely a breath between tracks, but there's a rhyme and reason to its every nuance; no tangent is allowed to branch off without careful analysis of where it may lead... The band is never uncertain or ambivalent about their next move... Listen, and become immersed in a master class of timbre and tonal sculpting, classic both in level and scope

| Black Tar Prophecies, Vols. 1, 2, & 3 by Grails
"Words like breathtaking, introspective, graceful, and powerful all describe their music aptly. It's for people who like their music to take them places, even within themselves, that they hadn't dared before. It's music to help you realize the beauty of a broken world around you." - INDIEWORKSHOP "I still hear a band of ragtag improvisers, engaged in a heavy channeling of Americana that fuses Henry Flynt or Tony Conrad with the smoldering remains of Black Sabbath. Who can't dig that?"...

| Drifter's Sympathy by Holy Sons
While burying himself in old books on Cold War espionage and '70s Italian horror soundtracks, Emil Amos logged many hours layering endless tracks of improv and then editing them into a cohesive sonic blanket. After two years, he emerged with his sixth full-length album under the name Holy Sons. Listeners will recognize Amos' signature hallucinatory LSD-inspired mixing style, heard on records like Grails' Black Tar Prophecies. Drifter's Sympathy draws from the instrumental moods of Grails,...
