Fantastic Frantoia by S. Kenney (Lexington, KY USA) 5 Stars

I love this olive oil. I have a source locally, so I don't have to order it. I use it for everything except deep frying; we're talking raw oil to high heat cooking. I know that defies common logic, but look at it like this: if you love the taste of an olive oil raw, you'll love it cooked too. This oil is intensely fruity with a wonderful pepper finish. If you want a consistently good olive oil for all of your cooking needs, I highly recommend Frantoia. The only reason I don't deep fry with it is because it's cost prohibitive. For EVERY other olive oil use, I turn to Frantoia, and I've never been let down.

I never thought that I would notice such a difference from one olive oil to the next but I am truly pleased with Frantoia. I first received it as a gift and what a great gift. Much better than a bottle of wine that the recipient gets to enjoy once! I have in turn gifted many a person with this wonderful oil. Brad

I have been using Frantoia EVOO for 12 years now--it is simply the best there is. My family is from Vicenza IT on my mothers side and when we visited, I noticed its the only olive oil they keep in their homes. So I started bring back bottles on every trip. I have since found it in San Francisco at Molinaris in North Beach but now I can order it online and save the room for bottles of vino instead!

God, but not great.. by Everett (Washington, DC) 4 Stars

This is very good extra virgin olive oil, but it is not significantly better than the stuff I buy at the local grocery store. If it were only a couple of bucks more, I'd buy it exclusively. But it's a lot more. So, I won't be buying it again.

The older the balsamic, the greater the depth and richness of flavor. This balsamic is made from the juice of Trebbiano and Lambrusco grapes that are only cultivated surrounding Modena, Italy. The must is cooked slowly and then develops character by aging in wooden casks. The result over time is a dense, sweet, and pleasantly acidic balsamic with intense flavor.

Manicardi Aged Balsamic Vinegar #12
by Manicardi

Balsamic vinegar is the unfermented juice, or must of the white Trebbiano grape. The juice is boiled down to a sweet, intensely fruity syrup that is then aged in a series of barrels made from various woods including, chestnut, mulberry, juniper, oak and cherry. It is in this manner of aging that imparts the dark color and pungent sweetness to the vinegar. True balsamic vinegar is aged a minimum of six years and is traditionally made in Modena, a city in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy....
