A good choice to add with an additional tea such as Valerian, Chamomile, Passionflower...etc. The tea is nowhere as potent to using whole root Kava, but is a good, low-cost alternative to pricey Kava Root. I usually mix it with another tea called: Tazo Calm, and get nice results!

If you are just looking for a tea, the flavor is nice, but each bag contains only 20mg of kavalactones, which makes this a very economically unsound source of kavalactones, the stress-relieving chemicals in kava. I have tried this using 4 bags, and the effect was negligible. You may have better luck with this product than I did, but just don't have high hopes of the effect being akin to that of traditionally prepared kava or quality kava extract like Gaia kava.

Ok, this is not the 'best tea in the world' by a long shot but certainly a better healthier alternative to the others which really don't do as they claim, this one however actually backs up what it says and it manages to taste good too! How often do you find Kava Root in tea? let alone your local grocery store? you don't! all the more reason to find and savor this which does really work on the things it claims to fight/help that being stress, nervousness, anxiety, neck tension, on top of this when taking your first sip it feels like as one reviewer said.... "Drinking in the earth" it's like a unique mix of cinnamon, flowers,(the aroma) and chocolate (Yummy)it is not the best tasting of the Yogi teas, but mos def a winner when it comes to healing an ill, medical problem etc.. take it before bed or during a stressful day, just take it, because if you don't your missing out on a truly exquisite tasteful/healthful Tea.

This tea has a very nice fragrance because of the cinnamon. At first when I tried the tea, I didn't really like the taste. It took me like 2 days to get used to it. Adding honey helps adjust the taste, especially the ones with fruit flavors. If you don't like the cinnamon smell you can try adding berries mixed from the mixer, it gives off a nice aroma. Although I enjoy the tea, it just didn't seem to have that "stress relief" effect for me. It was one of the very reason I purchased this tea. Even so, I did not regret buying it.

This stuff is GREAT and a big hit in our recording studio. All the musicians ooh and ahh over the Yogi teas, and this is the favorite. Our recording engineer sips Kava tea to melt away the stress of any session. I use it to help keep my stress from running two companies at bay (combined with a daily walk, it helps eliminate my stress induced back problems). It's so tasty, we drink it several times a day. Someone mentioned that boiling water destroys the active ingredient - we use hot water spigots that are not nearly that hot, and I've never noticed a lowered potency.
