I first have to admit I don't buy name brand Caritin. I buy the much cheaper store brand that has the same active antihistamine. As far as I know I have never had an allergy in my life. Testing as a child, as well as later on when my son was a youngin' and developed allergies, showed that I was allergy free. But it has been some time since my son was a child, and now I am not so sure anymore. Some months ago I developed this strange feeling on the right side of my face that is best described as a crawling. Not really a numbness or even a tingling, but a feeling similar to what is felt when you very lightly run your fingers over your skin while barely touching it. It is not painful, nor is there anything visible on the skin. But it can at times be excruciating since the crawling feeling only seems to be "relieved" by scratching, or even just rubbing the area with your hand. I say "relieved" because rubbing or scratching never really solves the problem at all. It only very temporarily seems to keep the feeling down. It begins to return sometimes before you have even fully lowered your hand. If you have ever felt this strange sensation or symptom anywhere on your body, you know exactly what I am describing. The crawling feeling got continuous and aggravating enough for me to seek some info on it on the web. For the most part a very big mistake I would not recommend. You will come away feeling you have anything from diabetes to cerebral palsy. Only on one web site posting a forum did someone mention allergies, and suggested trying a antihistamine. A tingling, crawling sensation on the skin is something that is very much mentioned, and very common among allergy sufferers. For anyone that suffers the effects of real allergy problems, a crawling feeling may be one of the mildest symptoms to arise. But that does not mean that it is any less aggravating, or relieved any easier. When I decided to try the store brand of Claritin, I felt a difference in the sensation in just an hour or so of the first dose. It didn't go away completely but it was greatly relieved to be sure. To a point where I could forget about it if I was kept busy, or just deep in thought on something else. I really don't know if I am suffering from the effects of a true allergy or not. Eventually I will get around to getting that checked out. (I'm a typical man. One and a half feet must be in the grave before I will even consider running off to a doctor.) What I do know is that both Claritin or the store brand equivalent have been very effective in relieving this often exasperating malady that has puzzled me for some time. If you presently have, or have felt in the past this very strange sensation, or something similar, I would highly recommend trying Claritin, or the store brand equivalent antihistamine first for relief. The worst thing that will happen is that it doesn't work. I mean, it's a whole lot more satisfying to accept the sensation is caused by some form or allergy, than it is to consider the possibility that you have diabetes or cerebral palsy. Recommended...

This product definitely helps my allergy symptoms. It has eased the stuffy nose, watery eyes, itchy throat, etc. I take one pill each morning, and have relief the remainder of the day.

Product works fine. When I made my purchase the picture showed the package with 10 free tablets. They sent me boxes of 30 instead of 40.
That made the price higher than my local store. Will not buy here again.

Claritin used to work for me. The pill is very small that makes it very easy to swallow. No drowsy effect which is a big plus. The first year, it was excellent. Then the following year I have to supplement Claritin with Flonase nasal spray to combat my allergy. I feel like I got immuned to it that it does not work as good as before. Also, Loratidine is now available generically for a much lower price.
