EDITORIAL REVIEWS | Product Description Peptizyde (pronounced "Pep-ta-zyde") is a combination of three different proteolytic enzymes isolated from plant sources. Each enzyme has a unique set of peptide bonds it prefers to break, so the combination of these enzymes allows much more efficient means of quickly and thoroughly breaking down (hydrolyzing) proteins to its smaller components. The enzymes in Peptizyde work only on food proteins, not carbohydrates, fats, or other compounds, and do not interfere with medications or other supplements (unless they are also proteins, which is extremely unlikely). Peptizyde may be used in combination with other enzyme products. Peptizyde supplements the "normal" hydrolysis of casein, gluten, and other food proteins such that the exorphin peptides are not produced because the specific cleavage pattern to produce these peptides is altered. Peptizyde is different from other enzyme products in that it contains only those enzymes needed for protein hydrolysis. No other enzymes have been added. This allows one to customize enzyme supplementation to their specific dietary needs. Another advantage to this approach is that less potential exists for intolerance reactions due to additional and perhaps unnecessary enzyme proteins. Also, by using only three enzyme blends in Peptizyde, larger amounts of each enzyme can be added per capsule, insuring that more hydrolysis of food protein can take place in the short time that food is in the stomach. |

| Peptyzide Digestive Aide by Cynthia Agrey 1 Stars May 08, 2009 I was not too impressed. It is to help Celiac digest food, so as to not get sick. I had a SMALL amount of food that I would not normally eat as a celiac, and I got very sick. Can I use them up?? Yes, but they are a little expensive for a digestive aide. I do not recommend them for Celiac.
| | If you're Celiac this HAS to be in your hands!! by C. Pine (Fresno, Ca) 5 Stars August 17, 2008 After 8 yrs of pain, vomiting, diarrhea, weight gain & a fortune in medicines, tests, labs, trial & errors with doctors, my daughter, who writes medical reports, figured out I was Celiac...allergic to wheat. A holistic doctor discovered an allergy to corn, chicken, salmon, & various other foods... a friend gave me a copy of "The Missing Ingredient". It changed my life when I read that this is my missing ingredient... a pill that can be taken 30-60 mins before eating foods I'd otherwise have to avoid...NO PAIN...NO DIARRHEA...NO VOMITING....NO REACTION WHATSOEVER!!!! IT'S A MIRACLE FOR ME!!!

| | Helped my son, nephew, and others I know by Scott Jarvis 5 Stars December 31, 2007 My son(age 9), nephew(4) and my son's best friend (8) all have either asperger's or autism. We all started them on the peptizyde and/ or HN prime with in a month of each other. All of us parents have noticed significant changes. My son has increased problem solving, attention span and so much less anxiety making it easier to teach him (I home school him). Also he is seems to have less attitude and he is happier. My nephew, who has autism, has made huge leaps in language development and he is more engaged. A few months ago he would not notice if others were upset with him. Now he is very sensitive when others are angry with him. This is actually a good thing because it shows he is beginning to notice what others are feeling. My son's best friend has also been helped by the enzymes. The peptizyde has not fixed all of our problems but it has made life better for us and our children. I will keep giving my son these enzymes as long as he is at home. I highly recommend reading the book "Enzymes for Autism." This book gives scientific facts and studies that fully explain what the enzymes do, how they do it and what to watch for in side effects. The side effects can be hyperactivity and/or a sensitive tummy but they don't last for more than a few weeks. If you are interested in the peptizyde, do read the book first so you will better informed on everything. If the enzymes are going to help you the changes will most likely begin to show with in a months time so it is not a huge investment to try them. Also, one of my sister's inlaw's is not on the spectrum but has significant digestive issues and her problems have disappeared since she started taking peptizyde. I hope this helps someone.
