This has become one of my standard supplements that I'm never without. It is hard to find any multi-mineral that doesn't have the usual 2-to-1 ratio of cal to mag. However, there is quite an epidemic of people taking in way too much calcium and not enough magnesium because of all the misleading advertising for calcium supplements to treat bone loss, etc. But the more cal you take, the more mag you need. This product provides twice as much magnesium as calcium to correct the imbalance in people who have it (estimated to be a large majority in this country). If you don't eat a lot of leafy greens, beans, fish, and a variety of whole grains and seeds, you probably aren't getting enough magnesium. This brand is very effective and has synergistic ingredients in addition to the cal-mag, such as vitamin D, B6, digestive substances, and anti-inflammatory herbs. It has helped me to ease muscle aches, sleeplessness, and itching from seasonal allergies. Great to take before bed. Warning: Tablets are rather large.
