I have been a long time user and this product by far is my favorite one. It works for me to gain weight combine with going to gym regularly. I stick with it mostly because I like the taste. However, I started to notice this time that the taste is different, not that I don't like it, but I prefer the old taste better.

The taste is alright, this product will give you cavities. Also half way through the tub and I have seen no gains whatsoever.

I personally bought this product because of my high metabolism. I am almost 19 now, I started working out fiercly when i was 15. I got great results fast without anything at first, but after a year no matter how hard i would work out i wouldn't sweat. i was 129 pounds and my bench was peaked at 180. I wasn't able to build any muscle and infact it was really hard just to keep the muscle i had. Then my school nutritionist said i was burning more calories than i was intaking. He never recommended any products, so blindly i bought this. After two servings i was back sweating again. ( note i also changed my diet to stuff my mouth as much as i could). I think this is a great product. I've been using it for a while and have been building 5-8 pounds of muscle a month. The the only con i have is its smell. This may be only me but it seems to have a slighty sour smell. But it tastes good on the contrary. I would really only recommend this if you have a fast metabolism. Love the calories!

I would make sure this is what you're looking for before purchasing it. I didn't read carefully and didn't realize this is about 1000 calories, split pretty much evenly between carbs, fat, and protein. While the carbs and fat make it great as a pre-workout drink to give you some energy, they aren't useful after your workout. Otherwise, this tastes great and only takes about a minute to mix evenly if you're using a shaker. Also, don't think that because this is 10 pounds that you're getting more for your buck. It requires 4 scoops which makes this still have only about 20 servings.

Since this product obviously works, as proven in other reviews, I will focus on taste and mixability. I had previously purchased strawberry flavor and it was quite good and mixed very well. Since I prefer chocolate, I ordered this as soon as it was available. Unfortunately, the taste is not on par w/the strawberry. It is also much more granular than the strawberry. I don't know if the formula has changed or if I got a bad batch but my bucket is collecting dust. After mixing(no clumps) there is a very grainy taste, like sand in chocolate milk. I will have to cancel my subscription to this flavor. One other note is this brand contains no potassium which I rely on to help counteract the large sodium contents of everything we eat. I recommend Universal Nutrition's Real Gains which is reasonably priced and contains 503 mg (14%) or, as a second option, Pro Lab's N Large II. Both have 52 g of protein and taste great. Check U. Nutr. web site. They may still have free samples. I received 4 39 g packets of different flavors for FREE.
